Hello doctors on this platform..I need a genuine advise on the birth control pill I am on..I traveled out in February for a health check up for a cyst I have and I was given Yasmin tablet to manage the situation pending the time I will go for a laser operation, I took it for a while then I stopped when I noticed I bleed almost everyday on the pills which the doctor over there actually told me was normal..I am supposed to see my period on Monday but due to some reasons I started my birth control pills this last sunday..I haven't seen my period but I am having cramps, and today makes it the third day I am taking the pills..my curiosity is, if I stop the control pill immediately, will I see my period? I think is better I see my period in peace than go through this everyday pain..your advice PLS?

The cyst have you treated it. Took my girl to a hospital and they operated on her cyst. It was scanned also and gave us some drugs. She had to pass out blood for two days. And then the birth control pills can postpone your period. My babe day use am and sometimes up to two months she won’t see her period. We have up at one point till we decided to take it easy on the drugs and her cramps started then some days later period followed

I am not a doctor but I know what you are talking about because my babe and I experience it

In our case it took almost a month. Because some remants of the drug will be inside your system. That’s why it’s called birth control
