leokid866:Putting parts together.? Manufacturing in your school must mean disappearing things together. Illiterate. Go to YouTube and watch how Toyota factory works and see if it is not "putting body parts together" they are doing. |

RTSC:Ps all those companies you mentioned have their engine patent.....eventually when he does setup a proper manufacturing plant in Nigeria which will entail from body to engine he is going to have to come up with his own designs or end up paying one of the above mentioned companies to use theirs, but knowing him as an igbo man he will probably go to china to take from those who have already stolen the patent from the companies you mentioned. |

stevmatt15:Truth is the cars are very good. But as a business man, there somethings his adviser or his team are lacking. This is the ability to capture the Nigerian market. First the rides are expensive, an average personal ride goes for 9 to 10million, where u can get a fairly used American car for 1.4mil. I still take into consideration, it is brand new. Talking about south Korea, I think those cars are cheap for them or affordable. This still boils down to our economy. Most Nigerians live in abject poverty. From these, here are the reasons these cars are nt used by Nigerians 1. Cost of production is high, he import some parts, which is going to cost him unlike south Korea that have everything in their country. Hence, after production the company needs to make profit. 2. Nigerians loves imported stuffes, that's for those who can offer these rides. Recently Senators rejected innoson vehicles but keep telling the masses to patronise locally manufacturers. I think most of them don't believe in wat the say. For example, look at dino's house, from electronics to furniture are all imported. Maybe the feel, imported makes people believe they have the money. 3. His advertising handle needs upgrading. kia!!. That company needs to have a weekly programme about rides, comparing his with foreign competitors. There is programme where Nissan, Toyota n all brands mangers in Nigeria show the latest produced cars. Network news on NTA is a peak time for them to do advert. I see brands like ford, tayota doing that on CCN half time. Bring in new, young talents into the company. 2 Likes |

Emyres: Most car manufacturers assemble parts, most of them have their parts manufactured by another company. Like Bosh manufacturers BMW'S engine and some parts and same as benz. So it's ok if he assembles, one day we'll have an engine manufacturer in Nigeria and it will spring up more machine and car manufacturers. Trust me he's doing a hard work. |

RTSC:Lol you forget they have their own engine patents, they don't need to pay someone else to make their engines for them.....they ship straight from their factories if the engine needed is not been produced in the country the car is been made. |

Mrpojj:According to Nigerian illiterates, until you have a steel plant, a glass production plant, an engine production plant, a furniture production plant in the same building before you can be seen as a manufacturer. Infact, the hard hats and the tools must be produced right there too. 3 Likes |

leokid866:Most car manufacturers buy engines. They don't produce. Give your spec and they would produce for you. Do you know that Boeing does not manufacture their own plane engines.? It is produced by another American company called Pratt and Whitney. Boeing assembles abi? You are a hater who knows nothing |

spencestanlis:Current reality for him to bring down the cost of production is if companies that make all these engine parts are going to have to spring up in Nigeria like phillips auto and co....to field these companies ourselves is a long stretch because design the products is one thing another is production, and the companies that are already in this space will not come to Nigeria because let's face it how many car companies do we have in Nigeria to warrant their movement, plus companies like Toyota and co are already here dominating the auto industry through import.....even if he decides to start these operations himself he is going to face huge risk and I'm sure he knows it, his best bet is to keep making cars for the military and focus on his biggest client the Federal Government. |

Boeing does not manufacture their own plane engines. *let me say it again* The biggest airplane producer in the world does not produce their own enginea. *Let me say it again* The largest producer of aeroplanes does not manufacture their own engines. The do this so that they are able to focus on aeroplane production. |
Re: COVID-19: How Innoson Is Manufacturing Ambulances (Photos) by leokid866: 4:30pm On Apr 17, 2020 |
RTSC:You think Boeing just pulls spec out of the air? Go to my earlier post where I asked about the engine specs registered to companies name....as far as I know there are non, and you can't use other people's spec without paying them otherwise you get sued....maybe that why his cars are so expensive, outside having to drop all that money on import he will still pay for right of use.....if he's serious let him design his own engine.....ps if I bring a phone spec to your shop to help me make, I am not buying my phone from you, I'm simply paying you to make it for me. |

leokid866: Shut up and learn I am sure you didn't know that Boeing outsource their engines. That fact alone must have rocked your world. The spec for the airplane engines is different from that for automobiles. But they are already there. Nothing special. You can tell the engine producer to work on or improve the fuel economy, power, of the engines and it would be done as long as you can pay for R& D, which would then be factored onto cost of the planes. |

Even airbus, I think outsource their engines too. If you want to be big, you don't bother yourself with engines. Leave that for General electric and Co whose core area is engines. |
