greenandy:Enyia stop jumping from pillar to post. Was it under Ihedioha that Okada was banned? Is Ikedi Ohakim from Owerri zone? No matter how you view it, Orlu has not approached the same kind of urban status Owerri has. What are you yapping about? Mark my word, Hope Uzodinma will still not make any difference. Ain't it a shame that it took somebody like Ihedioha from Owerri zone to award an erosion control contract at your zone. All these bile you guys have against Owerri zone eh, I don't understand. Shebi Orlu zone has ruled more than any other zone? Is it not a shame that your Orlu sons in the person of Udenwa, Rochas could not develop Orlu but we're busy chasing shadows elsewhere. Orlu zone has a very big problem. You guys have some of the richest folks in Nigeria but you cannot make it count. Tony Ezenna,, Festus Odimegwu and such kind of individuals do not even have a single investment in your locality, but you want another zone to develop your area for you. Why do I have this feeling that Orlu and the northern Nigeria are operating under the same curse of self destruction!? |

Nadio2019:Even in the Owerri, I stand to be corrected, there ain't much factories/industries there. Aside hospitality, I wonder which other sector is active in Owerri (Note that I'm.not trying to look down on the hospitality sector. It's a great sector) |

Abagworo:Ihedioha just spent few months. If he scrapped some roads, that's a positive thing cos it means he had plans to tar them |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 9:32pm On Apr 17, 2020 |
Okorocha waa the first Governor to spread development into the hinterlands of the State including building 7 new tertiary institutions in rural areas as well as tarring village roads and dualizing major roads of Orlu and Okigwe with streetlights. Apart from Aba and Onitsha no other city in Southeast aside from State capital can be compared with Orlu as built by Okorocha. Recently Ugwuanyi is upgrading Nsukka and Umahi is upgrading Afikpo but Okorocha upgraded Orlu way back in 2012.

Abagworo:Rochas Okorocha tried to upgrade his village, Ogboko , not Orlu. Rochas never understood that urbanisation flows from urban centre to rural centres, but NEVER from rural to urban centre. Thus, most of the bogus roads and infrastructures built by Rochas in Ogboko are already in ruins. This same Ihioma Road Orlu, enlarged by Rochas to lead to road to his Ogboko, that is what you have been showing since 2012 as Rochas upgrade of Orlu. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 10:05pm On Apr 17, 2020 |
McStoic:Tony Ezenna builds the best school blocks in many schools in Orlu zone and beyond. Festus Odimegwu organises the biggest tourism - STAR - festival in Orlu nearly every year. Rochas Okorocha is the only Orlu zone sell-out and money miss road who hates Orlu and the entire zone like shiiit. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 12:10am On Apr 18, 2020 |
kikake:Contunue with your rant but history is clear that Okorocha built the most rural roads in Imo State history and upgraded Orlu town from a shanty it formally worse. Guaranteed it was impossible to score 100% but when you place him side by side a combination of everything that existed from 1914 to 2011 you will discover there was more development in that 8 years compared with prior 97 years combined.

kikake:You are home to this phrase yet you want to knock yourself silly with illogicalities. The urbanization flows from capital city to other cities, period. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 9:14am On Apr 18, 2020 |
Dedetwo:Many state capitals are smaller and less developed than other cities in the same state. Thunder fire you with your logic of urbanization flows from capital city to other cities. Thief of people's resources to develop one town, Owerri, because the town Owerri, was named capital of Imo state. All over the world, govt provides devt infrastructures nearly equally to major cities in a State that gradually extend to rural areas. But in Imo state, evil people changed the development process. They made it State capital to develop to international standard before any other town in Imo state can be given attention by governors. Okorocha drank from the poisoned chalice. In eight years, he ploughed our local government and state allocations in Owerri. That has led to shanty cities all over surrounding communities in Owerri. |

kikake:I guess the first bolded goes to your entire family. Anybody with your backward mindset does not need any form of improvement in life. Who would want to help a city filled to the brink with characters such as you? The second bolded statement qualifies you as a pitiable dunce. Have you ever held a job in your sorry ass life? If I had been the governor of Imo State, every city or upstart urban areas will receive prioritize infrastructural development however more should go to Owerri and Oguta than backwater Orlu and promising Okigwe. If you do not like the plan, I guess you can be faced with thunder fire. ![]() |

Abagworo:For the first time, I am tempted to agree with you on the response. The dumbass ninny you responded with the above post is a ranting ant. The jackass has never visited any governmental office in Imo State to inquire why the backwater called Orlu has not become Lagos or Abuja. All the scoundrel does is rant on a baseless forum. |

| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 5:31pm On Apr 18, 2020 |
Dedetwo:If Imo state continues to be led by people of your idiotic mentality of "build State capital first," Imo state shall not contain all of us soon. Half wit. You don't know that as Owerri expands to nearby communities to Owerri, succeeding governors must be forced to continue to plough nearly all the state's resources into building infrastructures to match population influx to Owerri. Oguta or Okigwe dries up into Owerri. We make efforts to stop emigration of people from Orlu to Owerri. Wherever you come from in Imo state but describe Orlu as silly place, backwater town, may that place become Ajengule of Imo state. Perhaps, more capital cities in the world are less developed than other cities in the same territory. But your most abysmal low level of education taught you that capital must be first developed with govt funds before attention is paid to other towns in the same territory. May Amadioha strike people like you in Imo state with this type of "build State capital first" plan. The EVIL development plan has made Imo state unique in Nigeria as a state whose capital has everything in the state, while empty lands abound in rest of Imo state outside Owerri area. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 5:53pm On Apr 18, 2020 |
McStoic:How many people from Owerri zone built industries in Owerri to create jobs? Owerri zone equally has wealthy people. We must not accept the idea of lazy folks in Imo who want to tell us that because Owerri was pronounced state capital, therefore, nearly all the resources of IMSG must be used to develop Owerri, while people from Orlu contribute money to build the infrastructures to develop Orlu. If I tell you how many times "educated"?? people from Owerri zone told people from Orlu zone to contribute money to build a University for Orlu zone, as the only method to have a University in Orlu zone, you will understand how deep some people in Owerri zone have gone with the mentality that State was created for governors to develop the state capital with all govt institutions of development located in Owerri zone. |

InternalAuditor:pls watch any of your national TVs you will see that they have been showing the beautiful Abia and Imo. Even today they showed Anambra and it looked more disorganized than the Abia you have been denigrating. Truly God bless Abia state. The only Nigerian state that is in the Bible. I love Abia, the number one in Nigeria. Chino go and hug transformer. |

[s] B2mario:[/s] Chai. Hahahaha Just look at this dirty Aba miscreant. Are you mad to write Anambra on the same sentence with the disjointed, dilapidated shithole called Abia state? Are you insane? Anambra is like America compare to the disorganized, shambolic, dilapidated shithole called Abia state. While Aba is a disgusting sewage pit toilet, Umuahia is a rural area. Overall, Abia state is the worst state in Nigeria. There's no single good road in all of Abia state. You are stateless because Abia state is dead. Spit on you |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by InternalAuditor: 7:00pm On Apr 18, 2020 |
B2MARIO, the whole of Abia state is in a shambolic sewage mess. You don't have a state right now because Abia state is dead. Stop trying to attach on any other state. Abia state is by far the worst state in Nigeria. You should be crying everyday because of the sorry condition your shithole Abia state |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by InternalAuditor: 7:06pm On Apr 18, 2020 |
B2MARIO, Abia state is cursed including everyone from that state, no wonder the state is yet to produce a decent leader since 1999. See another video of the shithole called Aba. Abia state should be bombed with nuclear weapon to save igbos the embarrassment and disgrace called Abia state. Useless people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7nRAa9SBGQ |

One simple fact I stated earlier is that Orlu zone has been in government longer than any other zone in Imo state yet they are complaining of marginalisation from Owerri zone. The blame is clearly at your doorstep. You people have the time and opportunity to have done all these all these years. PLEASE SPARE ME THAT BLAME GAME.

Industries or university for population, plus electricity and water supply, they are mostly what a place needs to get modernization and urbanization. Before 1999, Owerri people seized all institutions of govt that induce development, urbanization and enlightenment in Imo state, all for Owerri zone. They never cared that Owerri zone shares Imo state with Orlu and Okigwe zones. What would you want govs from Orlu zone to do in Orlu to force development in Orlu area? Uproot the govt institutions from Owerri to Orlu? Owerri people fought Udenwa and Okorocha hands down each time any of these former govs from Orlu zone talked about locating IMSU in Orlu zone. Do you want govs from Orlu zone to duplicate for Orlu zone some of the govt institutions cornered for Owerri area by Owerri people before govs started to emerge from Orlu zone in 1999? If Owerri had been considerate enough to leave at least, one tertiary education institution in Orlu zone, the story would be different from today's. |

| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Amah70: 2:26pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
McStoic:Many people don't know how Owerri stopped development of Orlu. Evan Enwerem from Owerri governed for 20 months but refused to build Orlu zonal water supply project which he inherited as first civilian gov from Mbakw.e. Mbakwe built 4 of such water projects in about 36 months. Enwerem inherited the contract of asphalt of dozens of urban roads and drainage project in Orlu, but he never attended to the job stopped. By 1999, foreign exchange rate had gone sky high that state govt found it difficult to do such projects and maintain Owerri same time. Enwerem saw FUTO, AICE, Polytechnic Nekede all in Owerri, but brutally located Imo state university in Owerri, instead of in Orlu. In all these, Enwerem was supported by Olu Owerri group, after brutal assets sharing argument between Imo and newly created Abia state roared. Thereafter, the prospects that Njaba State might soon be created with Orlu zone area as nucleus led Owerri to refuse any government development project in Imo state to go outside Owerri - till today. |

Come defend your cursed dilapidated filthy disorganized disjointed unkempt, useless and worthless Owerri here. Only animals that can manage to live in Owerri or anywhere in Imo state. No wonder 2/3rd of Imolites ran to a more secured progressive Anambra where most Imolites see as their obodo oyibo for greener pasture. https://www.nairaland.com/5807657/pictures-owerri-100days-gov-hope

The only way we can enjoy the 3 major Igbo threads on Nairaland is if we all move our activities to Telegram. Opening a Telegram channel to showcase all these pictures from Igbo land and have meaningful discussions without interruptions from idiots is the only way to go as far as I am concerned. Not everyone may agree with me on this but, seeing the way miscreants disturb the 3 main Igbo threads on nairaland is very annoying. Benefits of using Telegram Channels: 1) The administrator of the channel doesn't need basic or advanced knowledge of computer programming to open a Telegram channel or group. 2) Unlike Nairaland with biased moderators, a Telegram channel or group can be opened by a trusted person who will have the power to delete stupid posts from miscreants and remove the miscreants from the channel. 3) We all know how one idiot, people call Chino, terrorize Igbo threads with countless number of monikers. On Telegram, once such a person is removed from the group, he or she can't gain access to the group even if he or she clicks on the group's link. That way, a miscreant like Chino will be gone for good. 4) The Channel can have thousands of members who will never miss any update. Once a person joins the channel, the person will always get updated with whatever happens in the channel. When there is a special news or event taking place in Igbo land, you can always login to your Nairaland account and create a thread for it on Nairaland so it can hit front page and cause heart attack for enemies of Igbo land. All we need is to create an Igbo Telegram channel, it could be 1 main channel or 3 different channels just as we have 3 different threads on this annoying Nairaland platform. Once the channel or group is created, the link will be posted on the 3 main Igbo threads on Nairaland ( The Anambra thread, the IMO thread and the pan Igbo thread ) so our viewers can join the channel(s). We can also post the link on other threads on Nairaland to gather more members and once in while, we can create threads on Nairaland to showcase some pictures. As for people who may join the channel days or weeks or months or even after a year it was created, can still scroll back to the beginning of the channel to view the first post that's another benefit of Telegram you don't get on Whatsapp. |
