Guy, you're speaking with a few Republicans. That's an anecdote. At the start of the impeachment process, some Republicans were dwindling in their support, same thing at the start of Kavanaugh's hearing.

When push comes to shove and the choice is between more Conservative Judges and Obama 2.0 (aka Creepy Joe); that dwindling support will become an almost fanatical support for Trump.

I don't give a fly*ng f*ck about Fauci. I respect him but he's trying too hand to play "sitting on the fence."

Trump may well lose later in the year and it'd be a literal once-in-a-century pandemic that did him in; but it'd be a sight to behold if he pulls an Houdini.

And about your statement of Dems running out of strong contenders. Dems have strong contenders, it's Trump that makes them look like paupers. Andrew Yang will defeat Pence, Romney and 90% of all Republican frontrunners if an election was held today. But vs Trump he is a lightweight.

And I care who wins the election. Like Boris, it is very important Trump gets a resounding vote of confidence. That's the only thing that'd make the Dems sit up. Right now they're still acting like spoilt Trust Fund brats who had their pram seized. Retaking the House in 2018 gave them some validation even after they campaigned in swing districts that they weren't going to play the "Orange Man Bad" game in Washington.

The Squad, Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler blew that mask off; and only a Trump win will reprimand the Dems. Trump's loss will embolden the Dems, especially the Progressives and will lead to a more sinister Trump from the GOP. Neither is good for America, the Western Hemisphere, nor the world in the short to mid term.

I read the opposite online. I read they are even under reporting the death cases. They said ppl are dying of COVID-19 at home and nursing homes but not reported. CNN even confirmed that.
