Topic: Whose Temple is your body?
Text: 1corinthians 3:16-17; 1corithians 6:18-20

As you read and meditate on the contents of this message, Christ is asking you a personal question. Whose temple is your body? The temple of God or desires of the flesh?
Many church goers by surgery, pills or creams have transformed their bodies to a desired size, shape, color or gender, as against the way God created them just to please their flesh.

 Also, it is very common for many church goers single and married to boldly make statements like; “allow me to live my life the way I want, it’s my body I can do anything I like, I don’t need your preaching”
 Well, we live in the world. Such church goers as cited above, can sex man to man, woman to woman, with animals, toys gadgets or fruits etc and they can quote many man-made laws, theories to support their desires.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Dear brethren in Christ, it does not matter your name, tribe, place of worship, language, whether rich or poor, educated or not. One thing is certain; you are God’s representative here on earth made in His Form. See…Genesis 1:26-17

Therefore, I tell you purely that your body is and should be the Temple of God. That is why you do not have control over certain events in your life. When do you fall sick? When do you recover? When will you die? You do not know, even with all your riches and human knowledge.

See… 1Corithians 3:16 (NKJV) “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

1Corithians 6:19 (NKJV) “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

You should respect, care and honor your body (God’s Temple) the way you respect, care and honor the artificial and man-made temples in your places of worship.

a) Do you dress and move around naked all for fashion and civilization: (mini-skirts/gowns, revealing cleavage, sleeveless without bra, tight body fitting and transparent dresses, open chest, sagging and as much as you know) you are exposing God’s temple, stop it now.

 9 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes.
 10 For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.

 3 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.
 4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

b) You glory in sexual immoralities (lesbianism, homosexual, sex from anus, doggy, adultery, as much as you know) you are defecating, defiling and abusing God’s Temple.

 “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body”

Finally, most of the misfortune and unknown evil you have encountered in life are as a result of what you have done to God’s temple.

 “God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple”
