Around this house.......

We are deciding to stop the next storey of this building by going ahead to do the parapet, instead of the next decking. This house was planned and approved to have 3 storey and 16 flats but we are now going to make it 2 storey and 12 flats.

This decision was borne out of the desire to maintain a smaller number of tenants which will make the facilities in the compound to be better utilised. I am also of the opinion that a compound with less tenants will attract more rental value as fewer tenants means less noise and cluster. Then again, the parking space wont be under too much contention.

So the next stage of this building will be the parapet.

Av been following ur threads on NL for years and I must confess you are the best at what you do.

My opinion: this project will be far more profitable if sited in lagos, with strategic planning.


You didn't show us what the inside look like........we av been seen the project from outside..........can we see a sketch of the plan so we can see how you placed the rooms and other convenience.

I hope to partake in the project when you bring it to lagos.

Excellent decision to limit the units to 12. That will command quality Occupant as you have mentioned. I can testify that tenants are willing to pay premium for adequate spacing. Thanks

Casting the parapet with concrete today......

We continued until the job was completed today......

We have purchased roofing wood for this house and are ready to start the roofing of the building. We plan to use aluminium roofing sheets, long span, still choosing the colours.

We are already doing the roofing of this house, carpenters spreading the roofing wood on the top of the house......

First, we had to tie down the wall plates to anchor the roofing wood to the building.

Costs are tricky, there's no way I can tell you the costs until the roofing is completed. I am also tracking the costs.
