The current DG of DICON is making considerable efforts in retooling and modernizing DICON, but we need to remember that company was left to rot by the previous government and up until time they never hard a smart DG, who thinks outside the box.

The Beryl deal is dead as far as I know, but efforts are made in other areas. DICON-SUR is a considerable foreign direct investment, NAVMC now integrated into DICON is doing well with a good range of vehicles.
What is NAVMC??

You can't tell how many ranging shots he used to hit the target. At that it differs between the muzzle and target. He may have used up to 10 but it's still a testament to the shooter, the rifle and the precision rounds.

Covid19 has killed about 1500 in Africa so far, malaria kills around 400,000 a year in Africa . Looking at the numbers monthly shows why there should not be a lockdown. Africa should stop blindly following Europe and us.

Covid-19 is no doubt dangerous and Precautions should be taken a life is a life after all but its being blown WAAAAAY out of proportion especially in regards to Africa.

Africans should be exploiting this situation as much as possible while everyone else is locked down and distracted.

Nigeria did not pay $600m for 12 A-29.

Nigeria purchased 12 super tucano for 329 million dollars, 496 million dollars when you add infrastructure, training of 100 personnel, ammunition and ISR capabilities.

If true that Ghana bought 9 for 88million dollars then 12 should translate to 117.3 million dollars. There is something about this Tucano deal that's fishy, more so the delivery date.

Yes, I agree the Nigeria deal is high, but what about the ammunition Nigeria is getting? I think it all plays a part in the cost.

I think it may have something to do with the variant you buy and modifications you request. A unit cost is between $9-$18m plus whatever modifications. Nigeria likes to have modifications when they buy new equipment to suit their requirements. Even the VT4 tanks we bought from China they said NA requested modifications to suit our theatre.

That should have been the case but looking at a unit cost as compared to that of Ghana shows that ours is expensive. At the same time @rka2' explanation is understandable. Ehm... Ehm... Ehm, clears throat and in a low voice, but you ma know say man must chop grin
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Ken006: 9:36am On Apr 25, 2020
It could be true about the modification as you guys suggest.
Just that a Nigerian financial analyst thought that the price was too much for 12 considering other sectors of the security who need funding specially the police.

In a country called wakanda, a test pilot L gave a negative report on a certain airframe. His bosses returned back the report to him and told him to rewrite his report and make it positive. Wetin man go do na. Guy man did as oga instructed and was settled with 6 mil with a pat on the back. That deal in wakanda was like a heist worth millions of dollars. His friend was like, "na the only thing wey dem give you be that?" His answer was "cos them even give me, na my oga o."
