farem:it happens, a lot of churches are fond of that. All senior ministers in RCCG are yorubas, I will never attend that church. I love GOFAMINT, no tribalism. You are rewarded according to your merit. |

Vulcanheph:The answer is to go back to Universal Catholic,Anglican,Methodist Churches etc..and leave abracadabra, the more you look, the less you see churches for Yoruba people. But will they hear, you will rather remain there and continue to complain,na who send you go Yoruba church? |

ChristianNorth:What is this one saying. I'm not talking about churches sef. I only go to church cos I get paid to attend a service. What I'm talking about is the properties Igbos stand to lose when we break up. |

SIONKPO1:The same Bible the Catholic Church gave to the world. Seek knowledge and stop living in a world of ignorance. And why pick on Catholic when I mentioned over 3 Universal Churches? You should have lived by your own words and leave the first Church of God to God instead of calling them evil,I know you prefer the ritualist churches in your region to Orthodox Churches. |

vezycash:Honestly, you have said nothing but the truth. I am a member of the second church you stated and I have seen it happen many times. My mum carries the church on her head . The one that pained me to my marrow was after returning from NYSC everyone did like they didn’t know me , I no even send until one Sunday when I entered church and saw one woman smiling and coming towards my direction after praying. As soon as I sat up, the woman passed me a piece of paper where an amount of money was written with my name on it. I asked her what the paper and money was for and she said it’s the amount shared amongst the youth of the church for one thing like that. My eye changed immediately, I asked her if she knew when I left the church and returned from NYSC and now they are billing me. Did anybody give me market to sell for them:.......Karamo |

Ojiofor:Thanks for the advice but the truth is i stopped Believing in religion a long time ago and i've never looked back....officially i might still say i'm a christian but the only thing i Believe in is in the existence of THE ONE TRUE GOD and that God doesn't have a religion because if you look at things critically God isn't the problem , the problem is religion . |

goldony:Lol. The same claim can be made of Catholic churches in the east. They hardly ever sing hymns or songs that isn't either English or Igbo. You will never hear them sing in Yoruba or Hausa. Which isn't what obtains in parishes in Yorubaland. Catholic parishes in Yorubaland sing hymns and other songs in most Nigerian languages. Not in the east. There was a time in Washington DC, the parish priest allocated to us Nigerians was from Ibadan Archdiocese and he was meant to cater for the spiritual needs of Nigerians in that area. After a few months, the Igbo Catholics in the community started pressing hard that they wanted the Mass to be said in Igbo language, despite the fact that they weren't even the majority of Nigerians attending Mass there. Long story short, the top Church officials in DC had to wade in when the Igbo Catholics started their own service outside of the Church. It was really embarrassing. |

Vulcanheph:if for any reason I catch my son or daughter in any church headed by a Yoruba man ,I will disown that child immediately .have you noticed something about these churches .? for instance winners chapel in the east if a particular satellite church brings more money for tithes and offerings, that church will be headed by Yoruba man but if it does not , it will be headed by an easterner. Response This is how it works. Most of the Meg churches in Nigeria started in the South West, which is mainly populated by the Yorubas. Naturally, the Yorubas joined the churches earlier and became Pastors earlier than most people from other tribe. They were transferred to other parts of Nigeria to start branches of the church over there. So, naturally, those 'old' branches ( many of which were started by these Yorubas), will usually have more members, and more money than the new ones (when non Yorubas have now started becoming Pastors there) and it is not a coincidence that many of the Pastors will be Yorubas, since most of them became Pastors in the ministry before it gained ground in the east and north. This is the simple explanation. Pls, let's not bring tribalism to divide the church of Christ. |

eni4real:So if you write a book and behave stupidly, I should just leave you because you've written a book? All those their copy and paste books? Indabosky is a pastor. His pattern of miracle is funny. He beats his members, kicks them, flogs them, yet he is a pastor. Tomorrow he is going to write a book, so he is not stupid cos he writes a book? Anybody can write a book bro. We have billions of books on Earth. There is a book about everything. These your stupid pastors claim to heal the sick, right now, they are all hiding. Tomorrow, they would look for another format to keep defrauding gullible souls...and you tell me they are not stupid? |

light099:Did she present the issues appropriately? Far from it. Was her complaint with merit? Absolutely. We cant claim to be following Christ and yet embrace primordial considerations like mindless tribalism as if our lives depend on it. Churches led by Yoruba overseers are generally known for reserving keadership posutions almost exclusively for Yorubas. That practice needs a makeover so there is no point defending a blatant malpractice. We have to encourage and espouse fairness and objectivity if we want to get anywhere as a nation. Buhari's government is more or less for the northerners and a little to the Yorubas. People like you see nothing wrong with what is obviously an egrigious concept... You and your ilk are apparently narrow-minded. Or else you should have been circumspect enough to cotton on to the fact that power will one day revert to the part(s) of the country being sidelined. How will things pan out if tomorrow an Igboman becomes president and in the furtherance of the ethnocentric agenda as being precedented by Buhari flood over 70 percent of government appointment with Igbos? You see, people should start using their heads... |

eni4real:People like me must keep telling the truth to anybody, whether you are the president of the world or a poor man. Whether you have written 1billion books or you didn't go to school. If I see stupidity, I'm gonna point it out. 90% of Nigeria pastors are useless and stupid. |

farem:You are insanely ignorant. The case you cited had nothing to do with tribalism. I dont exoect you to understand because you were probably raised in a society where entitlement trumps meritocracy. I may let you into how the Igbo society functions:You earn your position and reckoning. As a republican socuety, people are not afraid to ask questions. There is no oba or baale whose word is law. A highly respected clergyman was capitalizing on his exalted position to reserve reward and promotion in the ecclesiastical vocation for his kith and kin from a section of Igboland. Matters came to a head when he attempted to indirectly impose his protege on a certain diocese against laid down norms. The people rose up in opposition and despite the media sensationalism, the people prevailed even after the supreme authority intervened. It was an Igbo affair. We have sinçe moved on.. |

maestroferddi:You exposed your ignorance on your responses. You said it was a tribal affair, then it was clanish affairs. You said you were republican and yet you ignorantly crave to be in charge of big churches which your Republican (narrow) minds cannot nurture from the scratch successfully not to talk of managing. You said it was Igbo affairs. How I wish Ariara people will dash you some terrible e-slap to register their grievance on what you called Igbo affairs.
