I was seriously irked yesterday.
But today, I see that people are reporting these guys.

It's wrong to open tabs and post empty answers to be the first to answer and go back to edit.

What if one couldn't solve the question assigned?

I don't think that would be a great idea because if we each get questions assigned to us, while they may be subjects we normally answer, it may not be from a familiar topic.

But if they are personally assigned, then it would make sense to make it like a pool of at least 100 questions from let's say top 4 or 5 subjects the tutor usually answers from, so the tutor can have wider range.

Otherwise, this method is fine, bar the mad rush of answering "easy" questions and space bookings.

Well, this is a good idea, that I've personally thought about. However, there will be some issues that need to be resolved, they're amongst others:

1. Supposing 20 questions is given to each tutor per day, based on subjects they majorly answer, what will happen, to the unsolved questions? because it is not every time a tutor can answer all the available questions correctly.

2. Will there be option to remove the question(s) a tutor can't solve from his/her dashboard?

3. Will the removal of questions be automatic or at the tutor's discretion?

4. If the questions are being automatically removed, how long will unsolved questions stays in a tutor's dashboard before it will be automatically removed?

5. if it is not automatically removed, nor the option of tutor removing the unsolved questions by itself, will new questions comes in or the new questions reduced accordingly? for example, 5 unsolved questions remains in a tutor's dashboard, will new 20 questions be added making it 25, or it'll just be another 15 making it 20 questions altogether?

6. Will there be option of tutor getting more questions in a day after solving all the questions assigned to him or her?

7. will there be option of tutor refreshing their dashboard, such that the unsolved questions can be removed while another questions yet unsolved comes in?
for example, on dashboard A, there are three unsolved questions of Q1, Q5, and Q7, so tutor A refresh his dashboard, then another unsolved questions Q15, Q20, Q23 comes in, all in the same subject categories.

Personally, I love the idea, and I recommend it to be from the TOP TWO (2) subjects a tutor usually answer from.

Which ever way things go, please don't let tutors be stucked to a few questions with no room for fresh injection. Personally, It's not every question I find easy or attempt in my 2 top category. Consider what this chairman said below.

I don't support such, what if for example 20 questions where sent to you in your area of specialization and u can't answer them very well.

Like me i prefer accessing all subjects, cos it makes more sense, once u can't get an answer to a particular subject at that time, u can access other subjects very quickly and see easy questions, just to compliment the other subjects.

Please let's leave things the way they are.

Nice one ops. I knew there has to be a NL community. I also started just December last year and I was paid a little above $50 though the question I answered was not up to 100 and about one or two were no paid because of wrong answer. I mostly answer for Computer and Mathematics. For this January, it has not been easy with poor light, school tasks (test & exam).

pls am not a science student, are there other non science subjects like govt or social studies that I can apply for

Some of us here are not science student. What matter is getting in, then you can answer questions from different subject.
They stopped receiving application but hope to continue by mid August/September. Try it out by then and see how it goes.

Personally, this isn't a good idea. I've my top 2 subjects and I hardly solve other subjects unless there's scarcity of questions in my favourite subjects. Assigning questions to each tutor won't be fair in my opinion. There will be instances whereby some tutors will be assigned easy questions while some will be assigned tough questions.

Furthermore, someone who gets easy questions and solves all the questions might appear to you guys as a better tutor than the other person with tough questions. Make it a fair level playing ground for all just as it is presently. We know the time questions are updated so it's up to you to decide your fate.

Lastly, some people are really weird, selfish and corrupt. I wanted to solve a question today, I clicked and saw that someone had answered it by writing two sentences just to book space. I left that particular question. Imagine, the next 2 questions I clicked, this guy already booked space too. I think there should be a way to curtail this, it's really annoying now.

I think a way to curtail this will be the time interval between the first answer the person posted and the edited answer. Normally, if you genuinely make a mistake, the edited answer will be few minutes e.g the first answer my be by 1:50 while edited answer may be 1:53. But those that edit questions usually take longer time e.g first answer is 1:30 while the edited answer may be 1:55. That's an interval of more than 20 minutes.

In a case whereby a particular person has an edited answer of more than 20 minutes for 3 or more questions, that means the person is booking space and coming back to edit the question and should be punished for that.

You observed well but these set of people do not care even if it takes them an hour before they edit the nonsense.

Best Idea. I already thought about this.

Perhaps, if you're truly an expert you should be able to solve any question assign to you in your area of expertise, not being selective. This will automatically get rid of booking and struggling for questions.

I once conducted an experiment on this; I booked 7 questions randomly and finally answered all after thorough research.

Moreover, this will get rid of laziness because tutors will be forced to research on the subject and provide answers.

Finally, tutors will not complain because they have 24hrs to research and provide answers in their spare time.

I will. I once sent them a message about questions like this. I was told that even though there's a minimum character for answers that will be provided, there are some cases whereby there are answers that won't meet up to the minimum criteria and still be awarded 4 or 5 so far it's detailed and correct. There's no way this question will meet up to the minimum character criteria.

If u know the answer already, in such case, u can actually use some English words, like recall from the given example that a +...... the next set to take is.... and so on
