I still don't understand why there's no uniform and proper electricity supply across the country... Can someone tell me what it cost.... Is it a project that takes so much? Our neighbouring countries have stability in electricity so why is Naija's own different |

Nigerians are not ready for steady electricity. Could you believe people still manipulate and bypass prepaid meters? Some don't even pay there bill at all. Not to even talk of the outrageous bill DISCO send out to some household. Definitely we are not ready. #electricty are not cheap anywhere. |

Since 1960 till date we are still struggling to get a stable electricity . With all the money Nigeria has been making from our oil depot. Bad people wouldn't want that to happen. If there's a stable electricity, who would wanna buy generator?, rate at which people purchase fuel would diminish. Nigeria is not ready to progress. |

In my area 31/2 decking ifite awka, our transformer spoils twice a week. Sometimes power will be generated and transmitted but discos will refuse to distre. Nigeria witnessed tremendous improvements in power under professor barth nnaji because he has good knowledge about the sector and insisted that all generated and tramsmited power must be bought and distributed by the discos but politicians ganged up against him. |

A lot of problems are bedeviling the power sector, corruption, dilapidated infrastructure, failure to remit funds generated to the body, bribes and so on and so on. Many don't pay NEPA bill, and why should they when they don't give them light, some transformers out to have been replaced with new ones!!! Our power stations too need to be revamped, they are still using old equipments, many of the imported equipments by Jonathan were not installed, they are still at the Lagos ports, fashola commissioned some in nassarawa but not all of them have been installed. We are just hearing mambilla, mambilla, hope its not a white elephant. Also power is not only hydro, in the north their ought to be windmills and solar power stations too. One former VP inporst mikano, will he pray we have light, in where I leave before, on Saturday, fuel sellers will contribute money for nepa to off the light so that people will come and buy petrol from them. All those selling or importing generators , will they pray that we have stable light? In China if you use generator you will be jailed. The distribution companies too, how many megawatts did they received, how many did they distributed? How many got lost along the line? |
