What Do You Have To Say About Government Easing Lockdown?? by Factfinder1(op): 5:42am On Apr 30, 2020
195 confirm cases in the last 24hrs & the government is talking about suspending lockdown.
What do you have to say about Government easing lockdown??

For anyone who knows the history of global pandemics will not be in a haste to resume work...we should give thought to the second wave of this pandemic if we resume in a haste...we should be more concern about life rather than money and the dwindling economy...if we should experience second wave, which will be as a result of lack of patience, Nigerian government may not be able to control it giving the state of our health care system...we know it's not easy at all, but we should look at it from the perspective of a conventional war, which no one will have the time to be asking anyone or the government for palliatives...this is the time to make the ultimate sacrifice to defeat the demon called Covid-19...

I believe that, if we neglect the rules for the relaxing of the lockdown, that the spread could take a different turn...

And transportation will be very expensive...and food items will even tripple..

People will find it hard to blend into the lifestyle for a while.... While the silly government will be folding it's hands waiting for other countries with two heads to bring about solution... For them to buy and use!!

The thing is, government should have kept the lockdown

But then again, keeping lockdown is making people 'hungry' so government has to relieve it.

It really is the ultimate between the devil and the deep blue sea conundrum

It's the way to go! We simply take our chances.

Good enough, remedial drugs are currently undergoing clinical trials while vaccines are being cooked up. Then again, I saw a video of a local herbs a prophetess purports to cure the virus. So why bear the brunt of hunger when options for remedy are being perfected?

On the flip side, you won't like the numbers already siphoned in the guise of palliatives that turned out ineffective, or is it the amounts already expended on PPEs that are now inadequate or the economic costs of shutting down the economy when we are just not getting the overall process of containment right?

People have started losing their jobs as a fallout of the pandemic. Many more would be affected; businesses would die and many more folks with varying health conditions would die because they can't access healthcare services.

So why continue lockdown?

The numbers will keep increasing with or without lockdown, the vaccine might take more than a year to develop so we can't stay in door for that long, if we lockdown without food, our immune system will be weak even malaria can easily kill you, economy will be totally distroyed

Meanwhile, the lethal rate is less than 1%
