Nice moves but let it start with National Assembly and political appointees.

Good move!!! But I can't help but wonder at the belatedness... If this had been done in 2015 or the year after, we would be standing better economically now, especially in the face of this pandemic fallout.

I never liked Jonathan's administration, but I grudgingly sense he was more futuristic and development oriented compared to his "Messianic" successor...

With the foundations laid, I expected Buhari to be truly soaring by now!!!

Na trap! When people starts lamenting for losing their jobs, APC will tell Nigerians that GEJ made the recommendations before he handed over to Buhari.

It's a two way trap.

As long as incompetent lawmakers continue to sponsor bills for the establishment of unnecessary commissions and agencies just to be seen as working, we will keep seeing the proliferation of these useless agencies with it's attendant effect on the cost of governance.

God bless Goodluck Jonathan. He had the vision, he knows how to take good advice from his appointees and formulate good policies.

That Steve Orosanya report hit the nail on the head.

We are still awaiting the PIB and the big one, the 2014 Confab report implementation. And to be honest with you all, we don't have a choice than to implement the Confab report.
It is now you all know ryt? After voting for change!

Its easy for them to reduce agencies but to reduce the number of govt appointees is a major problem to them.

Government is and has always been a continuum.it's your kind of thought and sentiment that prompts political leaders in Nigeria to keep abandoning projects and programs no matter how viable. In this regard,PMB also deserves our accolades for having the courage not to dump this laudable policy

You took that out of my mouth .

The woman s sincere , she gave Jonathan all the credit .

Jonathan is the true leader Nigeria ever had.
Likewise, GEJ supporters are never sincere. To them,PMB has never done any good thing and will never ever do any good no matter how good

Skepticus:
cool

Audio Cut Down.

The Buhari administration has been saying these for years but will never do it because it will affect a lot of northerners if these agencies are scrapped.

You are wise.

Is it the same report that GEJ didn't implement for 3 years before leaving office?
But who said a criminal can't be a caring and loving husband and father?

You nailed it sir!
ValCon888:
I must confess that the implementation of the Oronsaye Report is commendable. But it is not enough. The President should speedily direct the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission to reduce the salaries of all political office holders and appointees by 60%.

The country cannot continue to support an already overburdened recurrent expenditure at the expense of the masses, especially now that oil is useless.
