Yes. Consider returning it to its habitat. These things are endangered. I doubt you know how to care for, so it may just die and become another life lost.

Check the feet. Most turtles have webbed feet. Tortoises have feet like chicken, most turtles like duck.

all tortoise are turtle but nt all turtle are tortoise

that's an african side necked turtle. It belongs to the terappins family

If it has scales on legs and shell is hard, it is a tortoise. If the body is smooth and leathery, and legs are flippers and smooth, then it is a turtle. But from the shell, it looks like a tortoise. The shell looks very hard.
Don't drown it in bucket of water. Keep it in a moist garden with wet soil and vegetables and access to drinking water

Amphibious tortoise. Commonly found in black water swamps.
Meat tastes almost like chicken. It's sweet though.

It a turtle maybe a terrapin. Handle it with care cos their bite may carry significant bacteria called Salmonella. They also carry these bacteria on their body surface or excrete them. Get it around water occassionally.
