andrewbaba44:Oga, forget what Brighton did to Balogun, on a good day Ajayi isn't better than Balogun, so stop raising Ajayi so high. If Balogun had gone to a championship club from inception instead of Brighton, I am sure he would have been rated better than Ajayi in the Championship. Not that Balogun even did badly or committed blunders in the games he played for Brighton, it was the coach that just didn't fancied him and what makes you think Ajayi would do well or even get game time in the premiership? Don't forget the premiership is a total ball game entirely from the championship. Balogun that was benched in the premiership, went to one of the worst club in the championship and immediately that same club stopped conceding, that should also tell you that if he had started the season with Wigan and with what he showed thus far at Wigan, Wigan wouldn't have been where they are currently in the championship table. So, personally, I will individually pick Balogun over Ajayi and collectively also pick Balogun over him. Make Ajayi start to they face high profile strickers first in the premiership or other top leagues in Europe like Balogun did at Mainz and the few games he played at Brighton, then I will rate Ajayi well |

Arabiandude:Balogun wont play forever, i know he cant do any mistake in your eyes Ajayi has been a better play than balogun for the past 2 seasons ok, i dont rely on past glories , i believe on current form and ajayi has been better than balogun if so Balogun cannot even get a decent championship club rather it was a relegation fighting team Yes you will pick balogun over ajayi and thats the reason why you are not the coach Rohr wont do that okay. Ajayi is a younger player and balogun is older You are talking of mainz, balogun was just a normal average defender at mainz that hardly plays 25 league games a season due to he is injury prone I remember me fighting komekn and eathquake here because they said he wont make brighton team Why cant balogun get a decent championship team with all his bundesliga experience seems you wanna draw that leg nah ? Lol maybe i will rate him after that ![]() Plenty talk no dey full basket bros |

andrewbaba44:Look at attacking partnerships there is usually a big man and a runner, so it is in defensive partnership, there is usually a tackler and a ball playing defender, the problem with Ajayi and Ekong partnership is that they are both tacklers and want to go after the ball at the same time, none of them them can sit back and dictate play which puts the team under pressure when they are pressed Now look at Ndidi and Etebo partnership, very good players but it didn't work because they like to do the same thing which makes the midfield one sided. All the great partnerships have a tackler and a ball playing defender like Ferdinand, Vidic Terry/ Carvalho, the Puyol and Marquez partnership is an anomaly but everybody knows Barca has never had a top defense they usually rely on the brilliance of their midfield |

andrewbaba44:Balogun has played 5 undefeated games and kept 4 cleansheets he was the Nigerian form defender before the Coronavirus Don’t make it seem like he did nothing, and remember he has been tested and trusted under Rohr |

Subzero047:But ajayi and ekong partnership is working, maybe most of you guys just like the name oyinbo wall and nothing else Have ajayi and ekong partnership done any wrong ? Barca never have top defence because they do dominate, how many defenders where better than carles puyol and marquez during their playing days ? or puyol and a younger pique who made sergio ramos played as a RB during the 2010 world cup, barca have always have top defenders maybe their sweet style of play wont make you look that side |

Subzero047:Lol and so what ? I did not say he has done bad self, so because he kept 5 clean sheet for a relegation fighting wigan means he should bench semi ajayi who has been playing on the top of that league for almost all season ? Maybe if balogun is playing for west brom and score 5 goals from the defence you will say they should give him the balon d or You go fear praising for a team thats on 20th on the championship table ![]() |

andrewbaba44:The team you are playing doesn't matter at the moment Balogun is in a better form than Ajayi Thought you knew Rohr before |

andrewbaba44:Ajayi and Ekong partnership is working but the Ekong is telling you that he's prefers Balogun as a defensive partner Besides something is working doesn't mean it can't get better |

Subzero047:Football is not all about past glories Balogun did well in the eagles no doubt and he joined Brighton on a free transfer and was glued to the bench ,but yet some of you want him to always be playing ,suddenly he joined Wigan on loan to get game time then he should start ahead of ajayi ,same person omeruo benched during the afcon ![]() Don’t be surprise to see omeruo playing after ajayi and not even the Balogun I hope Wigan signs him permanently unless na another wahala for am Dude is 31 and injury prone to even rely on him for long is a no no Oga the team you are playing matters Abeg ,don’t come and use that as an excuse to me Even the ajayi I am supporting is a championship player ,if super eagles get better players who go Dey look championship let alone the one wey Dey 20th place Wigan Ajayi Is a sure epl bound if not for this pandemic that stopped football You guys are just after oyinbo wall rather than football ,I am glad omeruo and Ekong did well in the afcon ,many of you even turned blind eyes to Balogun school boy error ,if to say na omeruo do that thing una no go ever forget ![]() |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 5:43pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:So because ekong says he prefers his fellow oyinbo broda means rohr should listen to him abi ? As per say Ekong is the Messi of defenders ![]() I think omeruo prefers playing with Joseph Yobo then as a young lad but Stephen Keshi prefers using him and Godfrey oboabona Na coach get final say |

andrewbaba44:If the team you are playing matters that means Ighalo, Victor Moses should be starters for the SE Besides Balogun is in the same league and has been in better form leading to Afcon qualifiers and you tell me he doesn't deserve to be in the team? Form over everything at Balogun is in hot form now |

andrewbaba44:It was with his experience at Mainz that he got signed by Brighton and he was benched at Brighton not because he was bad or was commiting blunders when called upon, but because the coach just didn't fancied him. If this championship season had continued and with the performance he was showing at Wigan, I am sure he would have been signed by a better and bigger club at the end. At the emboldened, I understand; Sail on! |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 5:48pm On May 01, 2020 |
andrewbaba44:Ekong and Balogun has formed a solid defensive partnership over the years and this is not based on hearsay, and if Balogun is in form maybe Ekong should be allowed to play with somebody he understands better |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 5:50pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:But Ighalo and Victor Moses have retired from international football so why bringing them in this arguement ? When those 2 players where still available for the eagles they are both starters so what’s your point sir ? What better form ? But semi ajayi is not in a bad form suddenly you want someone who just joined Wigan to take his place ? Despite me preferring ajayi should I remind you that we have 2 regular starters at leganes ? |

Subzero047:And so what ? But one has been playing and one has not been playing till recently so because of that you want the partnership to continue abi ? Ekong should be allowed to play with someone he understand better ? Lol But Ekong played with omeruo that he didn’t understand and we went far in the afcon with omeruo even doing better than him You want special threatment because dem be oyinbo ![]() |

andrewbaba44:Isaac Success has not retired has he? Besides should I remind you that he is playing at a club bigger than the clubs of most SE players, Why was Iheanacho dropped since he was playing at Leicester Just joining Wigan is not an excuse, since Balogun joined he has been on fire, transforming a relegation bound Wigan is not an easy feat |

andrewbaba44:Omeruo is good, Ajayi is good but that does not mean you should relegate Balogun with the excuse that he just 'joined' Wigan, he has had one of the best partnerships for the SE and he should be given his chance if he earns it |

Subzero047:But Balogun has been relegated to the bench since So because he just joined Wigan then ajayi should be benched immediately as if omeruo and awaziem have not been doing better than him this season Pls tell me something I don’t know |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:06pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:Isaac success is not having game time and not even getting goals ,sir we are talking of players having game time okay Isaac success is not playing for a big club ,bros please Watford is not a big club and was never a big club so what are you saying ? Iheanacho was dropped because he was not getting game time nor even goals How does all this things you said correspond to our arguement ? It even took nacho time to be called back after his constitent form But suddenly after 5 games for a 20th place championship Balogun should be immediately put in the team as a starter as per say him he Thiago Silva ![]() |

andrewbaba44:I didn't say he should bench Ajayi immediately, Balogun has got game time and he has been fantastic for the past few matches that's why he has been invited and that's why he should be given a chance |

andrewbaba44:Oh so it's not about your club but about the game time you're getting, Look at how you are casting yourself ![]() You keep calling it 20th placed Wigan which makes it more impressive because keeping a clean sheet with Wigan is harder than keeping a clean sheet with West Brom in the Championship but Balogun has kept 4 in the last 5 matches What else do you want Balogun to do, make he use head play ball ![]() |
