| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 6:20pm On May 01, 2020 |
andrewbaba44:How many top flight games did Maja play before his invitation? You talk as if 5 games are a child play that 5 consecutive weeks of being in form |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:20pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:It’s about club and about game time okay When you play for a big club you should be playing and not be there to complete the numbers If Balogun was a starter at Brighton ,trust me I won’t even argue against you guys How can you bring success into this arguement ? To make it worst you are callin Watford a big club ,who does that ? Which one be clean sheet ,you guys always look for excuse to praise a player ,is it not his work to keep clean sheet ? Na only this thread people Dey celebrate say player no allow free kick ![]() Una no let us hear word for Balogun ,but should I remind you that semi ajayi is one of the best CB so far in the championship ,maybe if he is Balogun you would have compared him to Thiago Silva ![]() Chai naija don suffer ,see as people Dey celebrate person wey play 5 games for Wigan ,there is no super eagles defender that won’t start at Wigan ![]() |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Edopesin: 6:22pm On May 01, 2020 |
andrewbaba44:funny is not starting a player who has a good run with the super eagles |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:22pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:Then make you kuku bench osimhen and play Maja nah since na so you wan take judge am ![]() |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:25pm On May 01, 2020 |
Edopesin:A good run of past glory ,same player had a bad afcon with the little chance he got and committed a school boy error ,he could not even bench omeruo self ,una no kuku praise our defence for afcon because no be una own preferred oyinbo wall I watch most of you guys that even refused to blame Balogun for that error ,double standard If na omeruo do that error ,I no wetin una for don talk ![]() Now tell me what has ajayi done wrong so far ? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 6:26pm On May 01, 2020 |
andrewbaba44:Osimhen is performing better than Maja, isn't it simple? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Edopesin: 6:32pm On May 01, 2020 |
andrewbaba44:I already said I preferred the Ekong-Omeruo pair, And if you're using one error to discredit him, also discredit Awaziem We're not saying ajayi has done anything wrong but trying to downplay Balogun because his team are bottom table is a no bro, Las Las the only reason you're clamouring for him na because of his goals like say na him job to score |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:49pm On May 01, 2020 |
Edopesin:The trying to say Balogun deserves to start ahead of ajayi is a no no till the coach decides which I doubt I am not downplaying Balogun ,if you can praise a Wigan player with 5 appearance then what should he said of a west brom player with 35 appearance with 5 goals ? Or do you guys want us to forget ajayi just because of Balogun past good appearance wit the super eagles ? I hope you will be okay taking a 34 year old injury prone player to the next World Cup as a starter if we qualify |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 6:52pm On May 01, 2020 |
Subzero047:Ajayi is performing more than Balogun in the same league is that not simple also ? |

andrewbaba44:West Brom don't have a very good defensive record. Their strength is in outscoring their opponents. |

andrewbaba44:is being injury prone the problem here? when he was starting ahead of Ajayi nobody thought remembered that he was injury prone |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 7:19pm On May 01, 2020 |
Edopesin:Ajayi was not even in the team when Balogun was playing Ajayi was even dropped for the afcon Things change in football okay You can’t get your preferred oyinbo wall forever You all saw the afcon and it was omeruo and Ekong ,time self go reach Ekong go chop bench |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 7:20pm On May 01, 2020 |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by andrewbaba44: 7:23pm On May 01, 2020 |
junnyjake:This is not an excuse okay Ajayi is performing better than Balogun and it’s clear ,but here you are looking for excuse When ajayi was playing for Rotherham una no praise am but Balogun Dey play for Wigan una Dey praise am Double standards everywhere |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Edopesin: 7:23pm On May 01, 2020 |

Edopesin:because Balogun was better then ,even ajayi was even behind all our cb in the pecking order then ,things change bro Balogun was not getting game time for months ,he wasn’t even making the bench then suddenly he joins Wigan and played 5 games and he has become better than someone who is one of the best CB in the championship Football is not by past glory Okay oooo |

andrewbaba44:Only you know what you're on about. You don't know my history on this thread, so it'd be good if you just quit making outlandish claims you can't substantiate when put on the spot. |

andrewbaba44:He had a good run in those 5 games and we're acknowledging it and on what basis did you confirm Ajayi to be the best CB in the championship? |

OK .. The Balogun/ekong/AJAYI debate is just somehow. Am I the only one who just relish a moment like this when we got pool of decent defenders to choose from? BTW, If we get saka (and if not) , I will like Rohr to try 3-4-3 formation. Due to the growing numbers and forms of our defenders. Also this formation will allow our players to play to their strength. Henry, Samuel, Kalu, - looking at their playing pattern, they are more suited as wide forwards rather than wingers. Also this might sound funny, I won't mind Ndidi - Iwobi MF partnership . Just an opinion though. |
