HammedOlanaija:Guy you are just contradicting your self. council governs while union is an association.so there is no council governing the practice of Pharmacology in Nigeria. |

I don't think we should underate biochemistry sincerely. Although it is unlikely for me to support them they are infact harder than medicine and Pharmacy according to Harvard List of hardest courses and I was quite amazed and I had to check other top institutions who even placed pharmacy and Nuclear physics and various branches of chemistry, engineering which was quite shocking. I feel strange writing this although I don't want to agree with it but it is the truth. It doesn't necessarily mean that because Lecturers are frustrating and hard and somewhat ridiculous make it same else where in the world, In some countries you frustrate students and abuse them, you will loose your Lisence. Most clinicals promote insult saying that because they want to modify to become good doctors, If the advanced countries where that frustrating, I doubt Doctors like Dr Maduka and others would have excelled If they were in Nigeria. They got the basis from here and left for further practice. Okay let us reason this why do you think they all like to travel abroad? You will say they have better pay, good facilities etc. The most important is that they value hardwork and they are accomodating once you have the skill and willingness unlike here were your professor is jealous that you have an idea and you will become recognised why they will be left out. Ask doctors who did Post graduate studies here and those abroad an see their excruciating pain. Even for ordinary courses they frustrate you and you will spend 8-10 years doing bullshit Phd and this trend continues. I don't know how true this is but I saw a pop up about a certain Leukemia cure that was invented by A biochemist and an Oncologist. In some advanced countries molecular biologists with certain courses can become oncologists by writing exams. I urge biochemists struggle and get outta here there are people there looking for young minds to nurture and train. Even medical students don't find it funny in pharmacology and Biochemistry they can testify of these. There are governing bodies all over the world looking for you and don't let people spew hate on based on fame and prestige. Struggle hard but I will never advice anybody to go for biochemistry simply because he was given in post utme instead of pharmacy or Medicine. Med lab will always be Pathologist Assistants no matter how put it even when you become a Lab director. In essence follow your heart and not the bid to be in school and show yourself before you end in misery. Thanks |
