I was very appalled when my female cousins, both 13 and 14: were so worried about finding a husband ? I mean, what the heck is wrong with parents these days and why would a 13 and14 year old be nacking their head over a man ? What happened to folks enjoying their youths and childhood? 

They both let me know that their mother says "I don't care how much books you read, you must marry?"

What are your thoughts ? Any one experience this with their younger siblings or cousins?

Some power families recently got married in Lagos . .very recently

The girl wasnt really digging the guy cos she felt he wasnt attractive enough.  Not like she was very attractive herself.

Her mom convinced her to marry him because he was from a wealthy and royal family.  And this girl's dad is also a billionaire in Nigeria o! So
poverty had nothing to do with it.

Bottomline, the girl married the guy becuase of his wealth and royalty . .and then we'll start crying if they divorce in a few years.

So you can see how we think in that country.

In the north they would be married or almost married. Most of the internet Nigerians who post here asume that everyone is a "white anglo saxon protestant"
