elyte89:oga daye are gone when fear factor they play a part in a teams superiority. Once a team has decent talents doing it in big and decent leagues i see no reason they have to fear the top class opposition. Aribo was unknown and playing in the scotish league but held his own against almighty brazil, same as ajayi who plays in the english 2nd tier. The likes of chukwueze and etebo have held their own against the 2 spanish giants, iwobi, ndidi, iheanacho hv rubbed shoulders with kane and the best the epl can offer, ekong and aina is doing the same in the seria A while collins in the bundesliga hv faced the likes of lewandoski n co. Its not about fear factor but hv team chemistry and cohesion which but be evidence in games. |

Danielnino00:man u don learn their lessons and wont be held ransom in splashing the cash to bring in big name flops. The management re more after young promising talents who will play for the badge and what the club represents. Likely sancho and grealish may join, also birmingham's youngstar bellingham or saul niguez while pogba is likely to leave same as lingard, rojo n jones. Gradually untd is on the verge of building a young dynamic squad of hungry and purposeful players not big namez Na una time be dis so enjoy it while it last |

charlesemeka85:Don’t talk down a player because he rejected you Eze is more technically sound, more end product, more potential, more vision and more confident Ejaria is good but Eze is a generational star |

Subzero047:am talking down on him cus he rejected me? It seem u re sick mentally n needs urgent attention Eze havent made it clear he is sticking with england neither has he declared for 9ja.playing for the english youth teams doesnt imply he cant switch to us in the future. The likes of moses, iwobi, adarabioyo who is ready to accept a call up if invited once played 4 english youth sides so eze's case is not and will never be different. I am just pointing what i noticed long ago in his game and whatever you think wont change my notion about and also my preferance to ejaria. Even before ejaria applied for a switch i have made it ckear couple of times that i prefer him to eze which i still stand on. And if you understand the rudiments of modern day football eze has to work on his work rate and be a better team player to be tolerated by epl teams especially. Ejaria is more of a work force than him and more versatile as well. I make out time to follow their games and my assertion is based on my observation. Ejaria is more like aribo ie can be deployed as an AM, CM,SS or from the flanks unlike eze who can only function as an AM or SS. My post is not to imply that eze is not a generational player as you posted buy pointing out on the aspect of his games he needs to work on. The role of an AM nowadays goes beyond creating and scoring goals but helping his team out defensively where he is also required to chaee every ball and fly into tackles. |

Iwobi for example, is not a good shooter in the EPL but has he not scored several shots playing for SE? Make we see them play first for SE then I go assess them better. charlesemeka85: |

ChrisKels:it depends on what makes u think he is better than ejaria. As for me i abhor players with no work rate which is the reasoj i dont rate paul pogba even wen he is a fantastic player. Eze is a superb talent but he needs to do more in improving his work rate to make it to the very top which i believe he will work on once he joins an epl team. No matter how many goals AM scores or creates of late most modern day coaches sees one with no work rate as a liability which is the reason the likes of fabregas, ozil, coutinho and james rodriguez are no longer well sought for. Even as a big and better player, man untd fans dont apprciate pogba because he lacks that main attributrs which less talented players like grealish and fernandes has ie players who re ready to work their socks off for the team not minding their main responsibility in the team. All i am saying and still saying is for him to improve that aspect of his game |

Joebie:It depends on the one that fits the formation and tactics rohr wants to deploy in any game. Both are super talented and would be great addition to the team. |

Subzero047:To be fair on him though he has always said he preferred Ejaria. Both have thier strengths and weakness. While Eze is better when it comes to scoring, Ejaria is better when it comes to his work rate |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 11:17pm On May 02, 2020 |
Subzero047:which needless lies? Atleast ejaria can function in the same capacity as eze if both re tried out in the same role in the team. Ejaria is skillful, creative just like eze and also decent in front of goal, moreover so many teams nowadays functions well without a play maker which is the reason i stated earlier that the role is dying off. Can u mention who is real madrid and liverpools player makers re? What is the reason bayern sent james back to madrid and also turned down the chance to sign coutinho permanently? Jay jay left that impression in us that teams cant fair better without a renowned playmaker which is the reasoj everyone of us expects any player in that position in the super eagles play exactly like the ex number 10 and will jump on the bandwagon to scream for any AM available. |

Joebie:This is the exact point I was trying to point out this afternoon. Presently I think we need Eze more because the current SE lacks a recognized and good AM...Iwobi is the one currently playing that role and he usually tires out before 60-70mins and he is not a recognized AM unlike Eze. But in Ejaria CM(box/box) position, we currently have a very good Aribo, Etebo and even to a lesser extent Azeez. In conclusion, the SE team has always lacked a midfielder that complement the strickers in goalscoring until Aribo came in, so Eze joining the team will also guarantee us more goals. For me, modern football or not, I don't believe in players doing more than what they are supposed to go to the field to do, e.g a strickers running back to defend or an AM becoming a defender when his team is been attacked. Leave Eze there to do the dribbles, assist and support the strickers to score goals, while the strickers scores and the CM(who is to be known as a box/box midfielder) support the defense when the team is been attacked by the opponent. Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe and even recently Haland doesn't fall back to help their defense because it's not their jobs, their jobs are to either assist and score and they are doing it well. |

Long time ago it was Jay Jay, Oruma and Odiah Kanu Nwankwo on braids. Today we are towing same part with a different style Iwobi, Aribo, Ejaira, and Eze belong to the dreadlock geng! If hairstyle wins trophy Aritside Bance of Burkina Faso would be an African Champ by now. ( ![]() |

Arabiandude:you are seeing it from the side of a football fan but not a gaffer/tactician Football nowadays is fully tactics based which is the reason it seem more robotic when compared to years past. A player who is not tactically diciplined are rarely tolerated by present day coaches no matter how good they re. |

charlesemeka85:Modric and Isco were Madrid playmakers and with them they won 3 consecutive champions leagues. Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were Barcelona playmakers and with them they won countless trophies, These teams doesn't seems to do well anymore because they have relexed the playmaker roles. Trust me, Liverpool of last 2 seasons till now would have been deadlier if coutinho was still in the team solely as a playmaker. Which role has Fernandez been playing since he came to Man U and can you compare Man U of Fernandez playing as a playmaker and Man U when Fernandez has not arrived at the beginning of the season? So, playmakers are still very needed in today's football |
