sulaak:Have you asked your poverty development party what they were doing for sixteen years that they couldn't fix or build a single refinery after killing the ones they met on ground? |

It is nothing compared to 2008's N65/litre. N123- N145 is not a significant change to me. |

JAMO84:The development party (PDP) was doing what the integrity party(APC) is doing today stealing and wasting resources. Buhari's government has increased Nigeria external debt profile from $10 billion to a whopping $35 billion and was about to take another $22 billion from the Chinese with interest rate of 7% per annum. |

JAMO84:PDP has been fired, the current employee now is APC and buhari, they are the ones he is evaluating their performance, not the past, what are you guys doing currently to solve the problems you promised to solve if elected, now you have been elected deliver on your promise, the guy have a valid point, nigerian cannot be punished for the poor performance of the government on the job they are elected and paid to do by paying more for fuel because refineries are not working and yet the country have comparative advantage in oil production, what a paradox |
| Re: Fuel Subsidy Will Not Return, FG Assures IMF by JAMO84: 12:24pm On May 03, 2020 |
surgical:Jonathan made 381 billion dollar from oil, he was in the best position to build refineries. Buhari hasn't make half of that amount and he's doing turn around maintenance on the existing refineries. Let's hope the turn around is successful. |

sulaak:Even if he takes 100 billion dollar loan, he still wouldn't be anywhere near Jonathan in term if revenue generation. |
| Re: Fuel Subsidy Will Not Return, FG Assures IMF by surgical: 1:10pm On May 03, 2020 |
JAMO84:no excuse for failure, buhari is the new kid on the block,he should do his job and stop complaining,ok Jonathan did not do well he was replaced with buhari who said he had what it takes to solve the problems looking at what was on ground then,so forget about Jonathan, buhari does not lack money, what he lacks in revenue,he makes up with debt,so he has money , only that he lacks capacity and his priorities are not right simple |
| Re: Fuel Subsidy Will Not Return, FG Assures IMF by JAMO84: 1:18pm On May 03, 2020 |
surgical:It seems you just want to argue. Even with all the 20 billion dollar debt, Buhari is still more than 200 billion dollar behind Jonathan, he has the worst revenue since 1999, the fact cannot be wished away. |
| Re: Fuel Subsidy Will Not Return, FG Assures IMF by sulaak(m): 2:05pm On May 03, 2020 |
JAMO84:What revenue has Buhari generated? Why are you comparing Buhari with the useless GEJ or in your opinion Buhari is the continuation of GEJ incompetence, hence your argument is who is the least incompetent. |

Racoon: 4Play: SocialJustice: profmallor: olajizz01:Where do you folks get your projections from? Yes, prices should be deregulated, but Nigeria still imports its gasoline... N125 (less than 30 cents) per litre is LESS than prices in the UK and the US (even before adding shipping costs). Frankly, given the ongoing devaluation (by whatever name or method) of the Naira... The likelihood would be for a price INCREASE in the immediate aftermath of any price or sectoral deregulation. The BEST hope of deregulation is that OVER TIME increased investment, efficiency and competition in the downstream petroleum industry shall put downward pressure on pricing and hopefully result in significant price moderation, and furthermore the trillions being expended (wasted, IMHO) yearly on subsidy payments or under-recovery would be channeled into physical and social investment (education, healthcare, etc). > |

SocialJustice:Difference is that you NOT buying crude oil at the gasoline pump... It's akin to selling cocoa and buying chocolate, or selling cotton and buying clothes - plus shipping costs. > |

9jaRealist:I made the simple division and the answer was N31, then I recommended N50 pump price. What do you think the extra N19 I added to the price is for? |
