@yek, sorry for your disappointment but this is a Google policy not Xiaomi and it's said to be restored soon. If that's the only ish you're having, there are 3rd party apps for call recording or you can flash custom ROM or China ROM to enjoy your feature.

Pro Max is India. Global Version is called Pro.

As long you are in this part of the world Pro Max don't exist. Xiaomi said Mid-May for the 9s we are not in Mid May yet, I don't get the rush.

Actually, i think there will be a price cut. Samsung has issued a $15 price cut on their 2020 A series and M series lineup to bring them back to the device price before GST hike. I have a feeling that Xiaomi might get the same treatment. Even Realme is expected to issue some price cuts in celebration of their 4th Position in smartphone shipments in India 2 years in a row.

We'll have to see.

There are other third party apps plenty of them. Like I said call recording for Google Dailer by Google is on beta testing in some regions the feature will be deployed soon.
