False. You can submit with that result until the day the IELTS expires (although I personally wouldn't cut it that close)

thank you

Kudos to everyone who has been contributing here all these while.
Is it a good decision to do upfront medicals during this period of COVID-19 with no hope of when the next FSW draw will hold?
I would be grateful to have answer(s) to this question because it has been bothering me for some time now due to my CRS which looks set to receive ITA upon the next draw.

Good evening E-Fam. I need some clarification please. After filling the details of work experience which points are claimed for (2013-2016)

1) Is it necessary to put other work details up to date or just the one claiming points for (pre-ita)
2) I've been self employed from 2018 till date, will it be necessary to include it post ita, if yes what are the documents needed to upload.

Thanks for always.

Pre ita - personally I put ALL my work experience, even what I was not claiming points for (but I think that may been oversabi). Though I am not 100% sure, I think at a minimum you can include only work exp that you are claiming points for.

Post ita - you have the opportunity to account for every day of your life in the last 10 years including your self employment in "personal history section" (if you are not claiming work experience points for self employment). There is a "work experience section" for the work details you are claiming points for. You upload docs supporting your work experience. IRCC checklist here:

For a second, I thought some provinces viewed my profile.

Hi everyone,I hope we are staying safe.. I just need a clarification....as we all know wes tweeted they are back in business and we can now submit via electronic means including mails although it has to be initiated by the school..i just want to confirm does this affect Nigerian schools or only international students?

Ideally WES does evaluation of credentials of both Nigerian and Foreign institutions. So that twit by WES refers to all institutions unless it expressly excluded some.

Hey guys, update on my WES evaluation. I was able to share my documents to WES through Digitary core and the whole process took 10 days. My report is out. If you schooled outside Nigeria look up if your college has this sharing portal.
One of the many pains of studying in Nigeria. I have to wait till this whole pandemic subsides and schools open again before I can process my transcript. It's sad

So very sad. Unfortunately ASUU is still on strike. So even after the pandemic, the strike may affect transcripts processing,
except if this isn't the first time you are requesting for transcript. May God see us through

Lol. This is just a simple Reading sample. Imagine the Academic and GT ones. No where did @Prettiepearlz "clearly" state in her passage response that "it's risky" and that people should not consider it. The bolded only emphasized the fact that WES usually require you to mail/fax either your certificate/SOR to them personally and according to her, CIIN SOR (Statement of Result) contains grade which is unacceptable if you send such to them. The way out as she suggested, is to have CIIN send it on your behalf alongside your transcript.
All the best!

oh, this is clear now.
thank you very much for expounding.

I doubt o. Extension should be for those with PPRs or COPR I think.
Do you know of anyone who got an extension post AOR?

Medical extension does not apply to those that have gone far in AOR, it's mainly for those yet to submit AOR I think. But qlife has called some people for upfront medicals so I heard.

I don't quite understand you.

Any Oct/Nov 2019 AOR still stuck in security, but all others passed? Eligibility passed since March 14th, don't understand why security is still not initiated till now. My E-APR will be six months on the 8th of May. Did this ever happen to anyone in the past, please? I need help....the wait is super frustrating. FSW-O Ottawa VO.

#beHopeful.

As you might have known now, that this race is not to the swift, just as it is not by your power or skill rather at the discretion of IRCC.

Nonetheless, should you have other means of upgrading your CRS Points - by all means, JUST DO IT. So that you can get sweet dreams.. grin

Viable options;
- Max IELTS if you haven't
- Go to school - Increase your degree - BCS, CIMA, MSc, PGD, PhD
- Learn french - Take TEF
- Sponsor a loyal sibling - Loyal! To get the sibling points.
- Collabo - Find person join body - if still single. Caution, don't take responsibility oo, infact make em pass IELTS First, gather POF, get better degree. You go fear marriage requirement nah...even IRCC dey learn. Lol grin grin lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

JUST DO WHATEVER LEGAL THAT YOU CAN DO TO ADD THOSE POINTS, just in case the younger generation start flooding the market.

I hope this has been helpful, and I'll like to thank you for reading.

Nice tip

Thanks so much for your detailed response. It's well appreciated.
That means I won't need to upload documents for personal history which (includes my self employment and others) so far I'm not claiming points for them.

Good day my bosses. Can I also claim points on self-employment? I was self-employed for a while and have all documentation for CAC available. Can I add that to my work experience?
If I can, what documents would I need?

Thanks so much, my bosses.

Very frustrating & I’m hoping they will be lenient enough to freeze the scores of people who entered the pool during the Covid period so there will no loss of points. It’s neither the applicants fault nor IRCC’s that Covid happened.

So many of us have lost points on age, the only way to compensate us is back2back draw with larger numbers of ITA. We are all victims of this pandemic as regards this immigration thing.

Hello Nairalanders,

Happy New Year!

Been a long while I posted on this platform.

Canada has been good and I am grateful.

I decided to send a message to encourage as many as possible.

Canada Immigration has changed a lot since I moved (Just May 5th, 2019 o).

The post might be long but I am sure there are some things you can pick from it.

This is the reality

The government of Canada has given the current Minister of Immigration (Marco Mendicino) the following mandate
1.Immigration between 2020-2022 will focus more on the Provincial and Municipal Nomination Programs.
This is because many rural areas like Sudbury, Brandon and co are desperate to get immigrants to their municipalities.
While they know it will be hard to keep immigrants their, they believe some will eventually make it their home.

2. Eliminate CItizenship alpplication fee (Probabbly doesn't concern you for now)

My point which I believe are the facts

1. Do not put all your hopes on Express Entry especially if your scores are less that 465 cos I think the scores will
remain high (I pray I am wrong). So please put your eggs in different baskets. Schemes like Provincial Nominations
and Municipal Nomination Program and Pilot programmes. I believe early birds will stand a chance.

2. Immigration via school is also a good route but I advice you use firms

Nice points. Thanks

Good evening hommies...
Happy new year lovelies.
I got my ECA today from ICES.
I'm a BNSC nurse holder with rn and rm
So I gathered information from here that after verification the outcome is usually 2 or more certificate.
After paying 675dollars imagine ...i saw only bsc staring at me. I no fit cry.
Meanwhile my friend verified with Wes and got two or more cert.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord ooo please what should I do now. I sent them series of emails asking why and pleading that my RM and Rn should also be included.

Kindly advice a sister. I don't know what next to do after 22weeks.

It appears ICES is not very efficient?

Wouldn’t you want a longer validity on your medicals? If you do it now, the one year validity starts counting and when your application is finally processed; you might be required to do remedicals. So just wait
