I searched out the graduate coordinators for individual departments then I started emailing them.

Good evening everyone. I just checked my BGSU application portal and I noticed my application status has changed from "awaiting decision" to "awaiting confirmation" and I don't understand what this means. Did anyone have the same experience please?

I still have awaiting decision here... You might have probably moved to the next stage..
I think it follows the order
1) Awaiting document submission
2) Awaiting decision
3) Awaiting confirmation
4)....

It means that a decision has been made by your department. They have forwarded your name to the Graduate College to update your profile.
You should hear from your graduate coordinator too.
In my case, he emailed me informing me that I been recommended for admission and that I should look out for an email from Graduate College, a day before my status changed from Awaiting Decision to Awaiting confirmation. Two days after the email from him, I got the mail from Graduate college and he status change.
Not sure if this is the only way it works. Could be the other way round.

Some responded, the usual: "Sorry all our positions have been filled", or "We only have Assistantship Positions for students in our program."

A few advised me to keep checking the GA vacancies page. Another one said that as fall semester approaches more GA positions will become available as programs will be looking to recruit ahead of the semester.

I'm optimistic.

I have also gotten admitted after 4days of application.

Ideally, those cases are exceptions in surrealistic circumstances. Most often than not, a very competitive application/school would take longer than those time frame.

Most times, be chary of those cases as it doesnt end up with funding or it comes rather late.

The above post was intended to be sarcastic though.

I uploaded my transcript and it changed to awaiting decision because it was received but after few hours,it goes back to awaiting material and transcript changes to awaiting too

I don’t know why it’s rejecting my transcript

I think you should send a mail to the graduate college. They should be willing to help you send it some other way.
