As for the double standards, nobody is agitating for Niger Delta republic yet and no non-igbo speaking group has come out to reject it unlike Biafra. Timing is everything. My post is just informing prophets of doom that a country formed by the non-igbo speaking parts of the south south can thrive successfully.

It is an open secret that some parts of aniomas deny that they are Igbos. So they need to decide themselves where they want to be.

They needed ukwuani apparently because of land and natural resources while arguing that the other Igbo's should be kicked into Anambra or better still remain in Edo state who they share affinity with (as if it wasn't urhobos who share affinity with Edo)

Most of you think that the fact that you are called minority gives you the right to deny members of majority groups their own right, thus you have weaponized your minority status.

My point is that you vocal minority have mastered a way of bullying pro Biafrans silent majority among your people. you vocal minority know how to attack Igbo's using your minority status as a weapon of emotional blackmail against Igbo's on Biafran issue. I have seen folks who tell me "we no wan talk now because Biafran agitation never get head". Two of the present senators from Bayelsa come from a family that fought on Biafra side during Biafra war. How did you think the British got this info? They didn't need any Referendum or questionnaire, they did investigative journalism. Went to the grassroots in those places to gauge the people response.

So when Gowon and Minorities elites in Nigerian government were accusing Ndiigbo and Biafra of forcefully coercing Eastern minorities into Biafra, Ojukwu and Effiong gleefully asked for a UN and OAU supervised referendum to be conducted in the minority areas of Biafra, if Nigeria truly believed the lie of Biafra forcefully holding minority areas they were propagating.

Gowon and Awolowo armed with this British intelligence report I posted, refused to accept the option of a referendum on the minorities area, they knew they would lose the referendum and would have no propaganda to run along with thereafter.


But this was in 1967, once they seized power, the Minorities Nigerian leaders made sure they slowly planted Igbophobic mindsets into their people, their leaders who were Igbophilic were tagged enemies of the people and made to abdicate throne or become Igbophobic. Asari grandfather being pro Biafra refused to become Igbophobic and instead decided to abdicate his Buguma throne. Asari speaks extensively of this during his interviews. Igbophillic Kogbara who was the natural Ogoni leader was subsumed under Igbophobic Saro Wiwa who was powered by the FG to become the new Ogoni leader.

Things have changed in the minorities area. Just like the British didn't need a referendum to know that the minorities grassroots on the majority would have rejected Nigeria for Biafra, IPOB if they are wise, would also not need a referendum to know that the grassroots vibe in Eastern minorities areas today is a very anti Biafra one and that a referendum would lead to an overwhelming defeat for Biafra.

We must know and do better unless IPOB like the Nigerian government in 1967 are more interested in propaganda than on the truth, I don't understand why we must continue pretending like referendum is the only means to gauge the Igbophobic vibes emanating from SS.
