Wow this explained why I bought a bottle of Coke at 3.5 cedis or 4 cedis late 2016. That's about #220 compared to #100 its being sold in Nigeria. Almost everything I bought was twice the price in Nigeria.
Bros, if una don talk finish no come bring that coke own come join o.

Nigeria coke? It is just water, sugar and Only God knows ingredients.

In fact, the day you taste a coke, or beer or even ogogoro from neighbouring Cameroon, you will understand that Nigeria is a nuisance.

Quality. I mean quality. Who actually knows what is killing us here.

Ghana population: 30M
Nigeria population: 200M

Ghana ethnic groups: 100
Nigeria ethnic groups: 300

You can't compare any nations with this big of a difference. It's like the UK (67M) and the US (300M). It's like Canada (40M) and the US.
The oil money wey dey Nigeria e dey Ghana.

grin .... if u tell them from now till tomo oo ... den no go hear so don't frustrate yaself ....

Na like dis u go talk am : ... e go enter wellwell ... Reason why Aboki no dey go school na Turenshi .... Oyinbo self na small of dem dey go school ... abeg ....

if Nigeria should remove two zeros from 1000 and it become 10 naira ... Now if you buy a phone
for #30 after removing two zeros from #3,000 ... everybody go tear laugh say phone is cheap ooo .... Phone is #30 in Nigeria....

But the effort you would have to put in place to make that #30 is the same effort you would have to put in place to make #3,000 ...

grin .... #30 would now not be as cheap to make as it is now .... u go work well well to make that #30 .... The work wey a Nigerian go do to collect #200 na small work ..... if a Ghanaian should do the same work na 10cedis dem go give am....

Ghanaian would do more to earn that 200cedis ...
......... Nigerian would do less to make #200 .... So definitely 200cedis go pass #200 grin ...

and 1cedis go pass 1 naira grin
10cedis go pass 10Naira ...

e no mean say Ghana pass Nigeria .... e mean say wahala wey u go do to make 1cedis is more than wahala wey u go do to make 1naira ... Shikom ma people !!

That is why when they pay 200cedis to a Ghanaian he will be happy ........... The wahala he do to make that 200cedis is the same wahala for 20,000cedis before two zeros was removed from cedis .... If a Nigerian should do that kain work and u give am 200 naira .... Una go enter street and fight unaself scatter .... Blood go comot.

We need to learn how to communicate to ourselves ..... The day our Government does this with Infrastructure and social amenities , the day we start developing .... We are stagnant presently ... no need to sugarcoat.

Pidgin should be legalised as a primary means of communication .... or even our local dialect .... All these big big economics English no go work for an average Nigerian ....

How could you say Purchasing Power to somebody who has never attend economics class grin ... Even many that attend only know formula and how to calculate and pass ... What these indices are saying ... we don't know ...

The people that taught us self dem no know am ... den just teach us, set exam and mark am ... if u write wetin he know teach u , u go score zero ... grin

I totally understand you which means if someone is earning 500000 before it'll become 5000 but the rent of let's say 200k is now 200 which still removes the same percentage from the salary.i'm I right?
Yes , everything will still have the same value , the currency will just have less zeros . If for example rent cost N2000 a month and you were earning N5000 salary month with N3000 left as savings , if we redominated and removed three zeros , you will be earning N5 and your rent will become N2 , while your savings will still remain N3 . So value of the currency hasn’t gone up . N3 will still get you the exact same thing N3000 got you before

all this grammar wey na dey talk self..
i left nigeria 2018, to ghana. i lived majorly lived in kaduna and i know kaduna as one of the countrys most cosmoploitan area can be used as average to determine the living conditions of an average nigerian.
i stayed in kaduna city. i schooled at kaduna state universty which was built beside the states major infrastructure e.g. the head quarters of commercial banks, central bank, guest houses of other states, biggest hotels, etc are mostly if not all located in kaduna city. so i know for fact that the central bank of nigeria, kaduna branch didnt have 24 hours of public electricity, it was mostly generators. water supply was barely 12 hours a day. i can tell you that el-furai house had water tanks because water supply was barely constant.

in Ghana i have lived in Accra and had to move to my grandmothers town which is not developed at all. if not that it has the water board branch, a community hospital, defunct post office, one of the slave trade castles, i would have classified it a village.

I, having been to both countries can categorically tell you that the living conditions of the average ghanian as compared to the average nigerian is much much better.
In accra i saw people who operates grinding machines using 32 inches plasma tv in their shops, i was like what the Bleep!!! this niggar grinds tomato nd pepper, and cereals. how the Bleep can he afford this shit. not to mention the guy brought out an iPhone 6s that at that time in naija if you had it meant you be big boy!!

The quality of government schools is the same as average private schools in naija. lets not forget that i am currently in the village were i earn a little above the average Ghanian. in this village insurance is deducted from my pay,so also tax. in naija if you call nepa to report an issue, them fit no come self. i remember when our transformer blew; we had to contribute 1k per household to fix it. it took 6 months. over here ECG would come every Tuesday for minor issues and would arrive in an hour or 2 for serious cases.

i could go on and on

Re: Life In Ghana Compared To Nigeria (must Read) by Jamestown123: 7:49pm On May 13, 2020
I still don't understand why a lot of you are still comparing Ghana to Nigeria. You keep saying all those stuff and decieve all those lazy youths who hasn't done enough for them selfs here in Nigeria other than blaming government up and down, and at the end if them land Ghana na still different story. Only border wey naija close other west African countries don dey cry. Nigerian are the problem of Nigeria. After you leave naija now una go still go spoil small Ghana then small Ghana go get mouth where naija. It's a big shame seriously.

Here Nigeria, we can quote the law, Quran, Bible and even swear to ogun to protect our stand even when we know deeply, it affects our conscience.

Leave us to our fate!
Any society deserves the government they have.
