Going by both players' statistics, Zlatan Ibrahimovic obviously deserved it. I think the reason people voted against Zlatan is because of his arrogant attitudes.

I think Drogba’s subsequent performance outside Ligue 1 influenced the voting.

He wasn’t very prolific in Ligue 1. At least he didn’t score as much as Ibra. But maybe because he carried Marseille to the final of UEFA (predecessor to Europa).

Drogba can't even kiss zlatan laces as regards ligue 1 and overall career performance.That pool is so laughable.
