Visa
Nigeria has provisions for Visa on arrival and so having an American or Canadian passport is not a problem.

As a tourist visiting Nigeria, here’s a step by step guide to getting your visa on arrival on landing in Nigeria.

Entry Visa on Arrival Program Guidelines:
Visit the Home page of Nigeria Immigration Portal here: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/

Locate & click on the appropriate application form to start the process:
Click on the ‘Submit Application’ button to view the ‘Applicant details page’
Click on “Proceed to Online Payment”
Click to select Payment Currency “Pay in Dollars” option then Click on ‘Continue’ button
For Payment Outside of Nigeria:
If you select a processing country other than Nigeria, your payment will be in US Dollars. You will be re-directed to an approved payment platform to complete your application and make your payment in US Dollars.
Please take your visa on Arrival program payment receipts and other required documents to the Arrival point of Entry in Nigeria for your Visa processing to be completed.

A valid Passport that’s valid for at least 6 months.
Duly completed visa application form.
Two recent passport photographs.
Introduction Letter (from applicant).
Evidence of online payment for the visa fee.
Flight Itinerary.
