Don't use any other financial institution that's not interswitch (quickteller) from experience. If you have money start with them. Thier new POS is now #65,000 The only disadvantage is that it doesn't accept Visa debit card but it paypoint platform takes all card.
First Monie is very good their POS is superp and reliable. Their POS accept Visa debit cards. The only disadvantage is their network hitches and charges.
Closa Access (Diamond) POS is guru in processing only Visa Access (Diamond) cards. The network is fast and service reliable. Only disadvantage is that it takes only Access(Diamond) cards.
Merchant POS could also be used in POS business it accept all cards only disadvantage is that is not an instant creditation it takes 24hours.
Note: Having business name is added advantage in getting these pos.

I was almost setting up one and someone told me it's not profitable, you did barely break even. That if I make up to 50k a month after expenses then I am lucky. 50k is just ridiculous to me.

Maximum of two weeks if you do your calculation well.
Before purchasing the POS on their paypoint platform call interswitch if they have the POS in stock.
Quickteller have a representative in almost the 36 states so, if you are registering for first time as an agent they can assist you.
Make sure your registered agent phone number is available.

In the POS business what matter most is the good location. If you are in good location you make that 50k in two days from experience.
Another thing you also consider is the distance to the conventional bank. I'm saying this because distance also play a good role in determining your charges.
Population is important because it determines your turn up in the business.
