Wisdom is profitable to direct. The so called Governors should be careful as not to endanger their citizens in a bid to please them. Churches should stop mounting pressures on these governors to re open. Covid 19 is very deadly. It doesn't respect your spirituality. If you Bleep up. It will Bleep you up.

Covid 19 is very real and its not smiling at all.

We really do not understand what is happening in other countries that have suffered the effect of this pandemic. Toh, as time passes by, we would understand better.
if Nigeria isn't careful, they might join Brazil as new countries with worse cases

Was Mosque lockdown before in some part of the North.

A month into lockdown, no be a governor we see for Mosque dey pray with people defining spacing. Wow. Let all go back to our normal life jare.

If it was the Wike that did this the goverment and its fans will descend on him with name calling and threats. But to the landlords of Nigeria ns 'frown'.

This is the very reason why Nigeria cannot work. Injustice. Different standards for different people. Watch how the Federal Goverment cowers timidly. You will not hear them speak until after Oyedepo, then they come out smoking hot.

They will open their mosque. But they were attacking Oyedepo all over NL thread when he still held service during lockdown.

It seems like our own Christian governors always feel the need to please them. But it is not.

Are they not attacking the Governors now? Whether is Oyedepo or Governors, it is wrong to have congregation in confined spaces such as Mosques and churches . That will in the risk of infection. This is not rocket science.

If we don't stop this lockdown, d country might slip into depression straight. We don't have as much money as the western world & despite the meagre amount, 80% of it gets embezzled. Lockdown is not Africa

Enough of this Scamdemic before our internal economy collapses

This shows the level of inconsistencies in this government. The federal government should have gone on total lockdown of the entire country. I see no reason why some few States should lockdown and some other States are partially lockedown. The States governors are not united in the battle against this dreaded virus. I think it is the fault of the federal government. They have the right to do the what is needful here without seeking the consent of any state governor. But because they are clueless and lack direction, they failed to act.

HappyPagan:

Whether God is nowhere or everywhere, faith is by definition irrational.

Staying at home, speaking with God alone, everyday, might cause madness..you might start hearing voices, or worse, see Jesus appear in your room.

With church or mosque, the meeting with God becomes less personal. In a group, the gift of imagination is heated up as though thrown in a furnace. Emotions can be more powerful, and that's addictive.

Most Nigerians have lived under a failed government. Despite the failed promises, religion has thrived because God is always in control.. No one can hold God responsible for any disaster, only the good times. The devil does bad things. God is good.... He will do what he says he will do.

They have been fed religion their whole life, the Quran and Bible has taught them all the history they know. The walls of their minds are painted by the words of foreigners who lived ages ago
The Bible and Quran are the lens through which they view the world - through the eyes of cavemen who lived and died centuries ago.

So when a modern virus comes into their natural world, they really do not care. If they die, thank God. If they survive, praise God.

It's the reason our politicians are all religious Muslims and Christians. It's why even the most remote LGAs have a church or mosque built by their representatives. God is everything in Nigeria. And if you can link your people to him, you don't need anyone to hold you accountable. God is responsible for everything - Jesus becomes savior and deliveree from all the evill your failings produce.

The opium lasts as long as it is administered regularly... Turning off this opium will introduce doubt and chaos into the system.... And no one really wants that.

since our politicians are religious, do they believe in hell after death if one is a sinner?

if they do, why do they still public funds for themselves and their families? and why do they feel happy seeing the masses poor and suffering?

What is dreaded in corona virus? Malaria is more deadly that corona virus. The cure and vaccine for corona virus mine not be effective in use till 2021 ending. So are we locking down till the cure is discover or is lock down the vaccine for the virus?
