They are never satisfied. With all the borrowed monies, Abacha loots recovered and other loots, they want more money. They should first give us a detailed breakdown of what the monies they have been receiving and borrowed are used for.

If FG have been asking for loans to fund the budget, and now they want to sell some assets for the deficit of 5.37tn, how much exactly have FG raised themselves?
More importantly how do they plan to fund next years budget...and the years after? when theyve sold off everything and oil is finally finished, we will all get sense in this country by force.
Re: FG May Sell Public Assets To Fund 2020 Budget by Nobody: 10:15pm On May 15, 2020
Na back the country take dey work. Soilder don put every bodi for reverse. Sold citizens to China via loan. As a borrower is a slave to the lender, Naija became slaves to China. The small tin web remain to cover shame we go sell . If oil fall to 10$ on second Corona wave, we sell the country on eBay and everyone becomes Chinese properties before we get sense as a nation.

If you sell to fund 2020 budget as the best way to fund it, what about the next budget; 2021. So if oil prices remain at $30 for extended periods in the next 4 years there will be no Nigeria because nothing to sell and fund the existence called Nigeria.
These are truly the endtimes..

Your post left me feeling sorry for all of us.

It was a silly joke Atiku made during the campaigns.

He alone should take some responsibility for that foolish utterance, knowing what his former Party could do with such statement coming from him.
Give me the link to the information where he said that he'd sell the FG's assets to his friends. Any video evidence too?

Mr. 'Integrity' Buhari and his friends are not even disguising their actions anymore. They are openly selling Nigeria to themselves.

What a bunch of crooks!

"Give us a detailed breakdown".... cheesy Nairaland comments are so funny.

They don't give a fuvk about the so called masses, you are just their. The masses vote doesn't even count.

The masses also, are very easy to decieve.. How can Buhari, an old man dupe a youthful country like Nigeria with fake promise.

There's no such thing here. For your information, selling of FG's assets is different from selling them to friends. Atiku said that he would privatize those assets. He didn't say that he would sell them to friends. The emphasis here is on "FRIENDS". He didn't say that.
Re: FG May Sell Public Assets To Fund 2020 Budget by vertueptime: 10:34pm On May 15, 2020
Is that what he told u, you can lie sha

seunmsg:
Not the same. Atiku wanted to sell NNPC and NLNG to himself and friends. FG is not selling NNPC and NLNG to anybody.

Beside, privatization is an ongoing thing in Nigeria. That is why we have the national council on privatization chaired by the Vice President and the Bureau of Public Enterprises. Selling of public assets did not start with Atiku.

That guy is worse than a miscreant. I remember a particular day, Nigeria Army were killing some disgrunted youths... He was very happy because they were not from his tribe. But they are Nigerians.

His little mind did not tell him that such issue would affect the whole country sooner or later..

He needs help.

What gain do you have from NNPC since for the past 8 months not a drop of fuel has been refined
Yet all the staff are getting all the necessary salaries and allowances
Re: FG May Sell Public Assets To Fund 2020 Budget by unikwa: 10:42pm On May 15, 2020
They've been laying off minimum wage government workers, so as to keep paying the few people at the top.

The USA is the size of West Africa.
Nigerian Parliament has 469 voting members - 360 in House of reps, 109 Senators.
USA Congress has 535 voting members - 435 in House of reps, 100 Senators.

Why does Nigeria have so many representatives? Merge many of the representatives, and let them represent bigger constituents. That would reduce the cost of governance to even one-third of what it is now.
Re: FG May Sell Public Assets To Fund 2020 Budget by chaloskyx: 10:44pm On May 15, 2020
While you are at it can you please sell the presidency and federal government for more capable innovative and forward thinking world leaders to manage the affairs of this country. i would really like that because i think thats the number one asset that is usless in our country. once we get that right better decisions can be made to put Nigeria in the right position in the global political and economic sphere
Re: FG May Sell Public Assets To Fund 2020 Budget by femeritus: 10:45pm On May 15, 2020
Why are they not talking about reducing the cost of governance? Suppose Buhari is pro masses now is the time to champion the cause of drastic reduction in salary and allowances of public office holders including the National Assembly. There can be no better time to do that than now. Champion it and let the masses lend their voices. The NAS will have no choice than to back down seeing the present reality. If that is not done now, it'll be a great missed opportunity. Anyway the Nigerian masses still don't recognise how powerful they can be. We're too docile in this country.

There are a lot of assets that has been seized by the FG over time from corrupt individuals, this is the right time to auction them out and use the money judiciously.
They won't want to do that because top dogs in government would be eying buying those properties at very cheap prices.

Ideally, there should be a rule that any property forfeited need to be sold within 365days.
