@frank, @justmellow and other gurus in the house.
I wish to share my profile here so you people can advice me;
I have a bachelor of science in estate management and have paid $1000 non refundable deposit to confirm my seat for in class diploma program in construction management technology at Nscc.
I don't have a corporate job, and no strong personal POF. I have no registered business or assets to prove economic home ties. My tuition fees and living expenses would be taken care of by my maternal uncle(mom's brother) he is a Canadian citizen and is very keen to sponsor me.
Note: I was denied last year because of insufficient funds, and I used my mom' account statement which had almost 6 million, and mine which has 1m and also I paid 1yr tuition fees($14000). Pls, I need ideas on how to package my application so that I will get it right this time considering my profile.
Thanks in anticipation!!

Gooday all

Please I need a little help. My mum’s uncle is going to be my sponsor . He’s ready to drop all his documents including bank statements , affidavit of support an Skye he necessary documents, but there’s a little challenge ; which are ;
1. He has already fixed all the money in his company account for one year since January this year , saying he will be using the income generated from business to meet up with his recurrent expenses. Will I be able able to use such statement as POF or what can be done

2. I personally I have 12m In my personal account but my program fee is 29.5kCAD and I don’t think it will be enough considering the cost of living expenses or I should use it like that

Please advise me on what to do regarding both challenges

Thank you guys

It's confirm today from IRCC news! Fall 2020 courses will be conducted Onine due to the COVID-19 and this doesn't have any negative impact when applying for your PGWP in future. Automatically, you shouldn't think of travelling to Canada until after the fall term 2020. Students can begin programs online from outside of Canada and complete up to 50% of their program outside Canada.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC has disrupted so many plans and activities. However, keep the faith and hope for the best.

It will end in praise.

Yes, your application has to be approved by IRCC and granted a visa not study permit at the moment.

What's the difference?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Frankrobbn1: 9:05pm On May 15, 2020
NwanyiOkpa:

What's the difference?

Visa which is always placed on your passport only grants you entry into Canada. While study permit is a paper issued to you at the point of entry which determines the duration of your study/stay in Canada.

I hope this makes sense

Since it is only your dad's date of birth, then you don't have any problem. His ID will sort that out(it is not a serious mistake).
I want to believe you declared that you have been denied US visa before? That is the main thing to be scared of

Thank you for your kind response to my queries. I declared that I was denied F1 student visa to USA and I quoted the date I appeared for interview. I hope this is sufficient.

Really ?

I got admission in university of Regina to study System Engineering at undergraduate level..

I applied for visa on February 15, 2020 ,

I was refused on April 7, 2020

But am not quitting, I can't waste all these time and money then quit, never..
Quitting is never in my dictionary..

So,

I Reapplied again yesterday....

My own point of view.

Let it be true that I have high chances of visa approval..

I didn't mean if you apply for Visa with an undergraduate acceptance letter from University of Regina, you will be automatically approved. No one can guarantee you the success of your application.

If you have done the right thing and covered every loopholes that might raise the visa officer's eye brows during the ELIGIBILITY review at the visa processing centre. Your chances are better with the University.

I admire your tenacity and resilience towards achieving your Canadian dreams. Keep it up.

Hello everyone,

I’m just a newbie here (someone sent me a link to this thread) and I have been reading contents here I must say I’m impressed by the selfless replies and answers.

I have applied for schools in Canada and I’m awaiting admissions.

Please I have questions bothering me since days now.
I had been refused of USA visiting visa before like last year (around June). My uncle that sent the invitation was the one that did the application for me and there were a list of lies, such as married (while actually I wasn’t married), employed in an oil company with salary of about 400k per month (while I wasn’t working, in fact just graduated), and fake documents to serve as proofs. And my mother’s name was changed mistakenly. Although I questioned the whole lies but he said that would be the only way they could grand me the visa as they would serve as home ties. And he is the same man sponsoring me.

Now that I want to apply for study permit myself without lies and with legit documents, I’m afraid they might check my history.

Please I really need a candid advice from experience gurus here on what to do and how to explain this to the VO.

Has anyone had same issues and was offered study permit?

Please someone should answer me as I have asked several people but no head way and the last person I spoke to directed me here.

@Naijaforeigner This isn't nice to say. I guess the truth isn't nice to say because it was too blunt. You can see this now. I dont mean to argue with you but can you see this? And you tell me my words aren't nice. How else would you want the truth sugar coated.

They will definitely check the previous statements. That’s what background check is all about. I am not that experienced so I don’t know whether to advise you to stick to your lies or confess and beg for forgiveness. The gurus will soon be here.

My brother you told nothing but the truth but the problem is that unfortunately even honest people will suffer the same as dishonest ones. As for me that is why I can never vex with any embassy that rejects me. It’s what we as Nigerians have done that put us in this situation.
