Please my fellow food lovers, I need someone from the north to teach me how to make kunu zaki the right way. I mean the type that is very light in consistency and taste great. What I buy in my area here sucks! Though there was a place i used to get the real but due to the lockdown its been sealed off to outsiders.

Please recipe for the real deal not those thick ones that feels like koko.

Thanks in anticipation.

Procedure..
Soak the milk overnight.
Wash the millet very well and remove dirt and stone.
Scrape and wash the ginger with other ingredient.
Pour all the ingredients in the millet and grind together..
Seive the grinded millet with a cloth filter to remove the shaft.

Allow it settle for some hours.

Put water in a pot to boil...
Then take the millet and divide into three part. Mix two part in little water . then prepare it like pap but on fire ,not so thick. Leave it to cool for few hours with water little on it

When it is cold you mix the one remaining portion with water and add to it.

You seive again with cloth filter to make it smooth. You add water to the seive one if is to thick.. .

Add sugar to taste and mix well.

Your kunnu is ready....Serve chilled
