No this isn’t tax refund. This is quite different. And I don’t think it’s perpetuated by Nigerians. There are lots of American scammers on telegram and Instagram. Even a sub genre of rap called scam rap has been emerging online from American scammers. Why they keep pinning these on Nigeria beats my imagination. It just boils down to the fact that no one is interested in protecting Naija’s image so everything crime is allegedly ground zero in Nigeria.

The annoying thing is that these American scammers actually show off. I follow a couple on Instagram. There was this white dude actually printing his own ‘stimulus checks’ and actually cashes them out via atm deposits. The sad thing is that the government know, their news media know, go to Atl, go to Philly, Go to LA, every 18 year old is pushing beamers but you don’t see it on their regular news.
