If you still have flair for academics and want to utilise your grade, I suggest you opt for further studies abroad. Preferably the US (you will be funded by the school to study). Although, it costs money to run the process but the end justifies the means.

Eventhough, i'm still in school, i've already decided what I'll do after graduating. One thing we Nigerians/Africans fail to understand is that, education and your grades can only set the table for you, they can never put food on that table. Use what you have upstairs to get what you want. Being brilliant doesn't mean you'll get job or make it after graduation, everything lies on God.

In my own view, first class grade is good but it should not be overzealously pursued at the expense of every other necessary skills a student should aquire before graduating.

Building your capacity as a student is very important. In fact, many first class students do not know the difference between Hard skills and Soft Skills.
However,both skills are needed during job interview.

If you can make a first class go for it but life reality is more than that. Think outside the box and read voraciously outside your field of study.

I don't really believe having a first class guarantees anyone job opportunities.

Those who have first class are lucky to have it nd they sometimes look down on other people in life.

Having first class does not mean u are better than other people who don't have it,its just a privilege,not a right.

You will have to conduct your research on schools, your proposed research plan, what the schools require etc. The process is quite lengthy but good enough, you have started. Write the IELTS, get a good score (7.5+), write the GRE, get your letter of recommendations, prepare your statement of purpose, transcripts, certificates, application fees and apply. If you can do this before November/December, you can apply for Fall 2021. As you progress in this journey, you will know how to apply for funding (fellowships, TAs and RAs).

What is plagiarism: It is stealing someone's else intellectual property i.e copying the findings or work of a person without proper referencing (I repeat proper referencing) or even no referencing at all of the original work of the person. Let's assume you are writing a thesis for your PhD or master even at the undergraduate level and you Google let say a paragraph and included that in your thesis, you'll need to reference that and this can be a daunting task most especially when you're through with your thesis and you were told you had plagiarized.. what! really..... You thought you were done and suddenly your supervisor said he won't collect it until you rectify it ( this is best case scenario!). That means you need to sleep with 70% of your lecturers from year 1 to 5. It doesn’t make sense.

Most students that sleep with lecturers do so not to fail a course or not have carry over, not not to make A.

Why are you answering him. Don't you know that jealousy make them talk that way. Even my stupid classmates would say I'm not brilliant, I'm just good at reading thats why I was the best graduating student. I was the youngest person in my class and also I did another 4years course alongside my bsc degree which I also graduated as one of the best. Some peoples brain is just too dull to understand what they are saying.
I regret ever being in my department with fools, non of them is actually more than average except one girl like that.
I wish I had the opportunity of being among good brains, and smart people. I can't even be friends with any of them since they think backward and those that are okay are full of jealousy or extremely extroverted, so I just packed well as I'm an introvert

If someone think I have empty brain after coming first, out of more than 1000students, and even being the youngest of them all, then that person must be out of his senses

Ma'am, it's too early to regret. Yes, you may not have complement your good grades with a skill, but that doesn't mean having good grades is useless. What is worth doing is worth doing well. I'm still an undergraduate, and by Allah's Grace, I wouldn't settle for less even though I haven't achieve it at present. Having good grades is a thing of proud it doesn't necessarily mean everyone will secure jobs with grades.

I intend to practice in any field that will give me a good life. I plan on going for Master's degree first on full scholarship in Germany in microbiology or related course and if possible base there. I believe age comes into play too in having a good career in education, by the time I will be ready to go for my Master's, I will probably be 25,26 by then because I have to work for money first. I feel that age is too late sir.

I have checked online, the prospects for animal and environmental biology graduate are not really encouraging as they are not much needed in the western world from what I gathered online but not sure about the true reality there, even worse here in Nigeria, the course is nothing. I regret been in the department now.

Not even sure if there are management programme courses one can do related to zoology. I'm really confused.
