Hidden History Of Igboland by meeky007(op): 2:35pm On May 19, 2020
For the doubting Thomases.......

Biafra was a country that existed on the Ancient Map of Africa for about 400 years before Nigeria was created in 1914, i.e before the First Map was created. However, Biafra, as a Nation (Kingdom), has been in existence for over 5000 years. In fact, by the year 1662, the three prominent Kingdoms in West Africa were the Kingdom of Biafra in the East, the Kingdom of Benin in the West and the Kingdom of Zamfara in the North. The Kingdom was then spelt as “Biafara”. Here are some of the Ancient Maps of Africa showing the three Kingdoms. In 1884-1885, the Europeans and Americans met in the Berlin Conference, Germany, and spread the map of Africa on a table and shared the lands of Africa among themselves for colonization and exploitation of the resources of Africa. This is known in history as the Scramble for Africa. It was from these three kingdoms that Nigeria was created in 1914.

Re: Hidden History Of Igboland by Sunshineg5(m):
There was never a country called Biafra before Ojukwu created one.

The bight of Biafra was actually named by the Portuguese who named it after miafra in Portugal as they named Eko Lagos after lagoons.

Another country to name itself based on a similar style is Benin Republic which named itself after the bight of Benin.

■ When earliest explorers became acquainted with the coast of West Africa, the only organised people they met were Biafrans. No Fulani, no Hausa, no Yoruba only Biafra. This is a time when Ethiopia was called Abyssinia. This is the SACRED land of the Ancients some fools want us to abandon for a man made contraption created in 1914, named by a harlot and legitimised by half-educated black morons in 1960.

Terrible lies

The people the Early explores(Portuguese) met in Nigeria were the Ishekiris, Mahins (Yoruba group in Ondo), Ijebus, Bini and Lagos in the West and Western Niger Delta

While they met the Ijaws, Ibibios and co in the Eastern Niger Delta

Those groups mentioned above were involved in the earliest form of trade with Europeans in West Africa which is the slave trade.

There's no documented history of any silly Biafra kingdom.

yorrober revisionism. I went to school with you people, I wonder why my yoruba classmates didn't make all these anti-Biafran comments whenever we talked about the civil war. They cowardly pretended to sympathize with Ibos during the discussion instead of saying their minds and insulting Biafra. grin

I would have had fun breaking tons of yoruba teeth and nostrils if they were bold enough to air their honest feeling about Biafra like you are doing here. grin

Cowards!
