ha quantity too much...

Do you have a drawing or picture of the building ?

Oga Kenny, the quantity might be reasonable. Below is my observation.

1.5mm 8coils of Yellow means 4coils will be used as earth cable for the 2.5mm Probably part of it will also be use as traveler (2-way switch). Remaining coils for earthing.

Also, 2.5mm likely to use it for socket, AC/water heaters.

You can only question the electrician if the above stated items are not considered.

The man did not attached design drawings to the post

Your mix ratio is 1:5 and its OK......

the cracks could be as a result of impurities in the sand - OR the workmen not allowing it dry a bit before rubbing it......

for better result, you can 'filter' the sand, so dirt are removed...

mixing ratio includes:
1:3, 1:4, 1:5 or 1:6 - 1:8

I suspect your cracks is workmen error
thanks

Hi, Engineer in the house.Pls advice me on what to do here... The proposed plan was for the living room and dining parallel without step up to the dining but my Engineer is advising me to let the dinning to be step up with one step. Step down from the kitchen then step up to the dining and step down to the living room... Pls, would this be okay? kindly check out the photos of the floor. and if anyone can help in drawing the 3D interior design for the living room, I won't mind compensating the person but please there is no big money on the ground, just doing the place little by little. pls, help a brother...

Please someone should help me here.

Firstly : Mixing of stone dust with plaster sand works very fine!

But here is the clause, it must be used with very fine sand. Because once the sand is sharp or too strong it won't come out nice.

Secondly ; It need an experienced one!

- Advantage: Stone dust + fine sand this to increase the strength of the poor plaster sand
Just as sharp + fine sand.

- It asecthically okay.

On the attached picture there are different types of cracks!
Structural and Minor

Shown in reference picture, can not be asertain except site visitation.

I guess you engage professionals for best result .

Don't forgot that's why we are here!
Thanks , stay bless.

It is better to rough plaster it, so you can protect the wall and also make the wall level for a good tiling work..

Making the livingroom parallel is nice idea, while stepping to dining is also cool.

From the shown pictures is like you did not do oversite floor!
Because if you do it ,all would hv been considered.

If you are going for stepping up dinning and stepping down to livingroom, these should have been considered/ designed at the foundation stage.

Things you consider for stepping or not;
1. Size of the livingroom
2. Shape @times
3. Foundation!

You can checkout with us for your design all you need is to send down your floor plan.

Urgent please

I don't know it in tonnage but double trip of laterite is 8k to 10k in Benin city

1Carpenter per day charge 5k here. If you buy the whole wood once to be boarded all at once it's usually cheaper than boarding, removing and reboarding.
I saved cost in wood and mine has boarded 3times for two 3bedroom flats by 3 carpenters. I paid 45k.
Masons charge 3500 per day. Depending on how many you will use and the extent your carpenter boards.
I'm not a professional, just shared my experience.
