The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has advised all state governments to consider giving Imams and pastors special palliatives in order to cushion the effect of the lockdown caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

Legit.ng gathered that the rights advocacy group argued that such relief will calm the agitations for the early reopening of churches and mosques for worship.

MURIC who gave the advice in a statement issued by the director Professor Ishaq Akintola on Wednesday, May 20, noted that citizens are restless and hungry as a result of the lockdown for nearly two months.
