successmatters:You obviously don't know what literate means Literate is the ability to read and write which is a skilled acquired by people it has nothing to do with intelligence. Please read before making a fool of yourself on a public forum. Further more, let us not get ahead of ourselves, as at the time mid-western region broke away from West. Cocoa was the main earner of foreign reserve and earner of revenue for the government. The major source of revenue from mid west was palm oil. Petrol was not a big thing then. Again, it’s not like Awolowo was developing the whole of Yoruba land while leaving the non Yorubas to suffer. He developed ibadan to the taste of a capital just like Easterners were developing Enugu, while the rest of Western region was developing at similar pace together with non Yoruba areas. The Edo's bone of contention has always been the comparisons between ibadan and Benin. They said they expected him to have made Benin the same way with ibadan.. Now tell me any city that was as developed as Enugu in the old Eastern region or state as developed as Abuja in today's Nigeria? 2 Likes

Amotolongbo:You are talking off point... How many LGs are in Ijesha and Akoko today? The Yorubas going by the list could not find even one person of Delta Igbo origin worthy of appointment as a minister or an assistant... Mind you we are talking about 9 LGAs as at today... 15 Likes 1 Share |

post=89808864:What were their major resources? In Nigeria today, the West has Five state minus lagos with almost twice the size of Delta and Edo in Landmass. Hence, it’s very obvious that the Yoruba half of the Western region produced a whole lot since Agriculture was our main export.. The Old east has Five states but old Eastern minorities now have twice the size of your region, And oh! your region is now land locked So who was milking who? 4 Likes |

Sunshineg5: Please don't descend to insults, it's an excuse your people use whenever they are being beaten online. The Benin had rubber, timber before palm oil. Yorubas just decided to promote cocoa, just because it suited their narrative. Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi were more developed than Enugu . 12 Likes |

Great work, keep on exposing these chameleons for what they are. What the SW want is only what favour them. Imagine what they did to mid-westerners giving them only assistant post and corner everything to Ibadan. They just want one Nigeria for chest beating, so that they will keep telling you how Lagos is the best in Nigeria despite been built by Nigeria collective wealth. People that drive joy that their country Nigeria have one single international airport and seaport located in one state than to have such in other places. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

successmatters:@ emboldened Ghana and Ivory coast economies were sustained by cocoa then and Nigeria was also a major producer then thanks to the west Ivory coast still depend on Cocoa today to sustain its economy. Ondo and Edo are very similar in terrain, so you should know what can be cultivated in Edo can also be cultivated in Ondo. What else again? 5 Likes |
