Coldie let me tell u wat is going to happen 2023.

Tinubu will be offered another Vice position to ElRufai.

If he fails to accept.

The North will field Tambuwal from PDP and retain power.

Yoruba is a problem in Nigeria and that is y they should return to Benin and Togo, where menstruating women of Dahomey can behead them as they did before in battle.

Hausa and Igbo will reach a gentleman agreement and power will rotate.

Lol, Yoruba giving this one headache. But tomorrow, he will jump into next available truck to yorubaland for survival cheesy

Seems you're more interested in telling me about Igbos in Equi. Guinea.

Below is the map of African, can you tell me how Igbos got to Guinea? Considering Guinea is very far.

Are the Igbos in Equi.Guinea native?

In Igboland, EG is called 'Panya'. Between the 40s to 70s, a good number of Igbos migrated to EG in search of opportunities and Igbos were actually substantial in numbers that the Igbo language was recognized as one of their spoken languages there till today. Somehow, the language has survived in EG but adulterated as you would expect. They still say 'bia' for 'come' and some other Igbo words here and there. The Igbos there have naturalized there and actually have an area of their own. I'm seeing some reports that say they are the 3rd largest in EG as we speak.

https://www.facebook.com/BiafraYouthLeague/posts/bioko-igbos-of-equatorial-guinea-a-forgotten-minority-tribe-populations-33500ran/925915974213116/

My maternal uncle still talks about this place called 'Panya', where Igbos of yore would brag about having visited.

This is one of the reasons why I always have issues with both my fellow igbos and ipob.

You guys beleive too much in fantasy.

Right now Igbo's are no longer the most populated tribe in the south, the North's population has tripled ours just increased a little.

A large population of us died during the war reducing our population even more. While the few that remained a lot left the country. Igbos have the highest number of Nigerians in diaspora.

Little by little we are becoming a minority.

We need to absorb the almajiris from the north into our region, we need to look for a way to acculturate them into our tribe.

I have a perfect plan for the acculturation

It is actually estimated that less than a million southerners lost their lives during the civil war. Igbo land actually lost more numbers to slave trade (over 1.4m) than to the war but yet were still the most populated southern tribe for several decades after the slave trade.

The babies, children and elderly mainly.

The adults recovered once the war ended and obviously made sure they replaced that which was stolen.

So many Igbo families had minimum of 9 children from 1 woman only.

I know so many of them.

My late paternal grandmother had 9 children! My late maternal grandmother had 7 children!

Biafra will NOT be surrounded by Nigieria as there will not be any Nigeria again.

Nigeria can not break into just two Countries- Biafra and Nigeria but into several smaller Countries.

Coldie:

Seriously I used to have the beleief until I settled down to do an Indept research of everything. I repeat everything.

The only thing Biafra will give us is that we will become Biafran passport holders nothing more.

After Biafra comes I assure u chaos won't take time before it errupts, because our people would have found out that they have been lied to the whole time, that its not what they pictured.

I am telling u this take it from me, after Biafra comes there would be a mass expropriation of lands and it would then be redistributed.

This would lead to a lot of problems and Nigeria will make sure we are trapped inside Biafra as we face our problems since we said we wanted to leave.

The Biafran economy will be heavily dependent on the Nigerian economy, so much that at a particular time the Naira will become the currency in circulation while the Biafran currency is second.

I am telling u a full blown analysis.

Theres a particular information I dont want to relay here since its a public forum. But as igbo to Igbo I beg u quit the pursuit

Hey, have you all seen this. Talking nonsense about census. Take a peek at this count, here is real census. Omoibo, cover your shame. Every year still dey carry last.

—South-West: 553 billion.

—South-South: 305 billion

—North-Central + FCT: 179 billion

—North-West: 148 billion

—South-East: 95 billion

—North-East: 51 billion

Note: Lagos IGR is generated mainly from PAYE which are paid mostly by civil servants and people working in the formal sector. PAYE constitutes 75% of Lagos IGR.

Fun-fact:
—Do you know Lagos IGR doubled what it received from FAAC in 2019? No other state in the country can boast of this.

—Do you know Ogun state actually generated more IGR than it received from the FAAC? in 2019 Ogun received 38.7billion from FAAC and generated 70.9 billion in IGR.

—Among all the 36 states, only Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun state generated more from IGR than they received from the Federal Allocation in 2019.

Those Igbos in those countries are migrants while Yorubas in those countries are indegines

Nope, Igbo slaves were sent to Brazil, Cuba and Latin America in substantial numbers as well, especially during the start and middle of the slave trade. Yoruba slaves arrived en masse towards the end of the slave trade, which coincided with the Oyo-Dahomey wars where Yoruba slaves were mostly spoils of war. This is hard to believe but in terms of overall number of exports, more Igbo slaves (1.4m) were exported vs Yoruba slaves (about 500,000). Igboland was heavily populated and had the population to sustain the ongoing slave trade demand for centuries vs Yorubaland. Look at the pictures of slave numbers attached below. From the start to the middle of the slave trade, Yorubas were mostly sold in a few thousands until the early to mid 1800s where they dominated the slave trade scene as late entrants and, thus, one of the few tribes to leave the most recent and obvious african culture behind in the new world.

I'm sure your next question would be, why then did Yoruba culture survive more than the Igbo? Ask me that and I would respond to you.

If resource control is implemented SUDDENLY in 2020, it will lead to national crisis.

Only about 12 States will be able to cope (the first 5 largest oil producing States will do very well).

About 24 States will face serious economic crisis that each State will reduce it workforce to just about 1000 people.

There will be massive emigration from Most States into Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Ondo,Lagos and Imo States in an unprecedented rate while many citizens from Osun, Kogi, Anambra, Enugu, Kwara etc will find all means to leave the country, even if it's to Togo, Cameroon or Ghana.

Lagos, Rivers and Cross River States will demand for 'Financial resource control' of revenues from their seaports.

After about the first two years, the Governments of each non-oil producing States will start imposing heavy taxes on the few items that their States produce for the oil producing States e.g the smallest cattle from Kano, Katsina or Yobe State will be about #300,000.

Eggs and Timber from Osun State will become very expensive.

Yams from Benue States being sold in Rivers or Edo State will be like #1000 per tuber.
Ondo and Osun States will go back to Massive cocoa Farming.

Kano, Katsina, Sokoto will commence massive cultivation of Cotton, groundnuts, Onions, Tomatoes for exportation.

Corruption and crimes rates in the non-oil producing States will reduce drastically because money will be so scarce and the electorates will transfer alot of aggression onto their Governors and politicians.
90% of the Governors will not win their re-election.

Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB will become less popular and Biafra agitations will fizzle out.

Gov Wike will become more dictatorial and proud to the extent that he will suggest that fences will be erected around the boundaries of Rivers State and other oil producing States will support this suggestion and will want to try it.

If the inconveniences are well managed with maturity, after about 5-7 years, we will all get over it and the country will be better of it.

If the inconveniences are not well managed, it can lead to change in Government or even civil war/disintegration.

If in Nigeria do u think if they decide to do every region control your resources 100% and pay tax to the fg, we igbos will be at the loosing end?

If bayelsa starts controlling its resources, how do u think states like ebonyi and Enugu without oil will run?

Even IMO and abia are marginal producers so their production can't be banked on.

How will the SE survive?

U people are so much in a hurry that u are willing to commit suicide to spite I dont know if its Nigeria or the north

Get your facts right sir.

1) A significant portion of both Chad and Niger Republics lie mainly within the Sahara Desert which is hardly habitable let alone support huge population.

Northern Nigeria lies within the Sahel with much better rainfall and fertile land than both Niger and Chad.

2) Saudi Arabia lies in the desert and because of the wealth from her crude oil sales, it has entered Stage-4 in the 'Demographic Transition'.

Polygamy is less practiced in Saudi Arabia than the North.

Polygamy predated the religion of Islam and it's not exclusive for Muslims, only that the Islamic religion is not oppose to it unlike Pentecostal Christianity/Western culture that now demonize it.

Igboid:

Niger Republic and Chad still practice polygamy and are Muslims, yet are sparsely populated.
Don't be deceived.
Many people we call Hausas in Nigeria are not, many are Chadians and Niger people they are giving free access to flood Nigeria.

Polygamy has never been a main determinant factor in population. Look at Saudi Arabia the home of Islam with polygamy, despite the rich oil economy, they are not even up to 45m people in Saudi.

Ibibio were one with Annang and Efik.
They belonged to Calabar province.
The Calabar province had three slots. The Annang took Ibibio slot.

You can see that two Annangs were in the list,
One of the Annangs took Ibibio quota. But the Ibibio didn't mind, they are brothers with Annang.

You shouldn't be crying more than the bereaved.

By the Way Eyo Ita took Efik Quota.

But perhaps it's a matter of "give and take", because the Ibibio were somewhat compensated in the parliament secretary,as they took all the two quota for the Calabar province with no Efik on the list.
The East was ran by technocrats. Every single move or appointment was well calculated, nothing was left to chance.

Paxienza as at then igbos may have been more populated than yorubas. The difference is about 400,000.but you will agree with me that yorubas have surely outgrown igbos in population due to several reasons.one, you lost over a million people during the war sadly.two which is very important, the birth rate of yorubas is superior to that of the igbos.you can't deny this.up to 40% of yorubas are Muslims and at least half if this are polygamous.almost all igbos arw monogamous even in the rural areas.polygamy is going out of fashion.infact nowadays, most igbos marry late.few years ago,a house of reps member from ebonyi complained bitterly about the low birth rate among the igbos.an average Yoruba family has more numbers than an average Igbo family.you are an intelligent fellow.don't try to dispute this.it is clear as daylight.

you do not have any factual data on that.................there was a baby boom after the civil war in Iboland, besides you Didi not factor growth in the 400,000 advantage between 1952 and 1967 when the war started, you have no facts to back your claim o.

U weren't able to give me a concrete reasonable explanation. All these things u just said are speculations, u dont know that no matter what happens the right negotiations between the west and the north and the south south, and Nigeria will continue.

Imagine if they negotiate that since the southeast is no more, all the federal allocations that was supposed to be given to the south east will be shared by the remaining southern states, Lagos state will be given special status like Abuja. While finally they accent to the Niger delta cry of resource control by maybe increasing the 13% to 25%...

And they all agree, won't we be at the loosing end here?

From the moment Biafra is declared automatically those Biafrans wherever they are become foreigners, a lot of jobs, businesses, etc would be lost. Then we will be in Biafra looking at each other, then when the billionaire Lagos business man that had to close shop because the business he is running is reserved for Nigerians then when he returns to Biafra and start looking at ur face. That time una eye go clear

do not talk like an uneducated person, what is relevant that people will come back with knowledge and skills, they will come back with economic and social demands that will need satisfaction like food ,shelter and clothes.....that will be the initial challenge but therein lies the new opportunities for growth. for Nigeria it will be a loss of economic demand and supply.........so it will not be easy for them also......!!! what follows will be trade negotiation based on the reality on ground.

Finally I get a worthy oponenet to discuss this, since you claim to be educated...

All these knowledge and skills, since they exist now, what's stopping these people from utilizing it to develop the east?

Economic and social demands that will need satisfaction, like food, shelter, and clothes, amongst all these things I dont think the east is a producer of any... We are a marginal producer of food, therefore we would be heavily reliant on import diminishing our foreign reserve, shelter we only have one limestone deposit at ithink Enugu, what's stopping our leaders from utilizing it? Most of the textiles used to produce the clothes are sourced from North.

We are at a disadvantage here, this disadvantage will become very visible after the break up.

That apart the east is not known to really produce we are more of an entrepot for the rest of Nigeria

WEN U MEET THEM, THEY WILL TELL U THEIR STATE NOT TRIBE AND EXPECT U TO KNOW THEY ARE YOUR BROTHERS.

AND WEN U TREAT THEM LIKE STRANGERS, SOME GO AWAY OFFENDED.
The onus lie on you to make them feel comfortable to disclose their ethnic group to you. Only an immature person will get angry because his brother who's struggling in the state where he was sandwiches didn't joyously identify as Igbo. Circumstances make people to behave so. If he trust you, he'll let you know.
When I was in one company in Nigeria, I met a couple of Igbos from Anioma. Ordinarily they won't speak Igbo to me. They were occupying big positions and much older than me. I understood the situation and knew what to do. It wasn't a friendly area for Igbos. Whenever I was alone with any of them, I speak Igbo with them. Initially they'll respond in English but as time went on, they started adding Igbo to it. I psychologically encouraged them such that they became free with me.
This is how you should relate with them instead of being tensed. There are reasons why some of them are not confident to let out their ethnicity to anyone. What if you're one of those naive Igbos from SE who will tell them they're not Igbos simply because they're not from the SE?

Yet our population is very low. We aren't even top 10 in the largest ethnic group in Nigeria.
