Perhaps it is a European thing. Personally I am not called Baby. Never liked it, never will.

disgust/irritated because a man called his wife baby (or vice versa)? he could even call her "goat meat" why would you even care?

just make sure you wifey knows not to call you baby, et voila, case closed!
