I believe those who had the pleasure of watching TV during the eighties and nineties, will find this story similar to the ones told in Jimmy Solanke's Story Land and NTA'S Tales By Moonlight.

It takes a good sense of self worth for an individual not to fall victim to the nonsense we see in social media.

Oh really, the first time I read the book, I was like 'WTF just happened?' It was a compendium of many stories similar to what I've heard before. 'The Perfect Gentleman' is a story I heard as a kid. Never related it to society the way Ishilove has done.

My goodness! I remembered this book just three days ago. My dad bought it for me in primary 5/6 and I clearly remember thinking it was the weirdest book I had ever read,then. Sadly cannot find it anymore.

I love how you were able to relate the book to real life, present day issues.

Of course they can with discipline and re-focus, but they don't want to. They enjoy the attention and fake love they get from the comment section.

I read this book in the university; very strange book it was to me but was fascinated with the use of imagery by the author.

It reminds me of those unpredictable days as an undergrad.

i just remembered about 5years ago..i was privileged to work with a pretty girl who happened to have various suitors..and dat became a serious problem to d extent that she started reading books upandan on marriage.

The palmwine drinkard is a very spooky book however I have never related it to social media the way Ishi did.When Ishi made a comment earlier this week about taking a break from social media I knew she saw something that really touched her.

You see this thing they call social media one has to be very careful how it influences our life.Lets not go too far it is in this same nairaland that monikers will wake up with their empty stomach and promise fellow human beings 10k giveaway only for account numbers to flood pages on a hopeless quest.

It is in this same nairaland people steal pictures from the internet and claim the pictures are theirs just to lure people to empty validation.
