The Gentlemen 8.5/10

If you wish to be the king of the jungle, it's not enough to act like a king, you must be the king, and there can be no doubt, because doubts causes chaos and one's own demise, my queen told me that

The Kid(1921)...9/10
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Family

This is an example of a movie, which stood the test of time.
Chaplin convincingly delivers one of his most sensitive performance ever, while retaining his lovable, funny screen persona.

This heartwarming captivating flick, sure made me shed a tear or two, & the slapstick & inter-weaving gags made me laugh my head off.

The motion picture was masterfully written, acted & directed. The musical score sure gave the sentimental parts of the movie it's most verve.

Words aren't enough to describe the respect and admiration i feel towards Chaplin. Producing, writing, directing and starring at the same time, is no easy feat, yet, he did it all effortlessly without fumbling, thus, contradicting the popular Jack Of All Trades. To me, he is simply the greatest filmmaker of all time.

If you're a lover of pantomime, do check this one out.

Freaks(2018)...7/10
Genre:Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi
This reminds me of the film Freaks (1932).
One of the most terrifying films of that time. It was deemed very controversial for their depiction of abnormal people.

Hmm.. this trench scene is similar to the trench scene in Saving Private Ryan, at the beginning of the movie.

Finally seen birds of prey

How can thugs be running riot in Gotham and attacking a police station without any sign of the bat or at all at all commissioner Gordon?

And why is this movie rated R? DC miscalculated on this one tbh, not bad tho 6.5/10

I don't think I want a Hawkman and Hawkgjrl solo, not that I won't pay to watch it but I don't think it's necessary..they are just supporting casts maybe just a mini series will do

And on your point about Batman, that's why I'm excited for this Reeves version cos we get to see some of the batman characters we haven't seen on screen in a long time in just the first movie, I'm sure more will keep on trooping in throughout the 3 movie franchise

Yes true Man. I couldn't agree more.

We don't really need a Hawkman and Hawkgirl Solo. Yeah, they are good as main supporting casts.

Same reason I love the Reeves Batman. Numerous characters incoming. cheesy

There are so many spin offs that could happen.

Dr. Fate, hawkgirl, Nightwing etc.

The mentioned 3 are highly considered by the management

True. Also Batgirl.

to be honest, they tried to move the movie away from joker, suicide squad and the dceu, they still failed jare.
I can't even start to rate the movie, as much as I crush on Margot... the movie was actually disappointing.

I wasn't impressed at all, seems to be like they just want to do a female version of suicide squad, as usual, the story was meh.

hmmm, you really should spank yourself though, lol...

that movie was a masterclass, I still watched it last afternoon and it's still as good as ever.

I first saw it months ago as well, to think I watched Dark Knight before knowing the movie existed was surprising to me.

The Wandering Earth. 9.0/10.

A very good science fiction.

I wonder if wandering earth project could be possible in far away future, say some 5 billion years time.

Honestly bro even the fight scenes were really boring too.

Have you seen shutter island? (2010) Just saw it last night, that movie is twisted and a great mind fück.. they had the man doubting his sanity. Hats off to DiCaprio and Ruffalo for their performances. I’ll rate it 8/10

Yeah pantomime. It was a musical comedy/ play/movie, which involved the use of body gestures alone. In pantomime, there's nothing like speech, it's just use of body gestures alone accomplined with music.

All Charlie Chaplin's movies are pantomime. And no, it wasn't coloured. All his movies are basically black n white.

The Pursuit of Happyness(2006)..9.5/10
Genre: Biography, Drama

Finally, i got to see this flick based on the hype of some folks here. I must confess, it was definitely worth the hype.

Smith delivers nothing short of an Oscar worthy performance, still puzzled why he never won.

A heartfelt flick, based on a true story. A well written, acted & directed flick which keeps you pondering, as to if we are truly living up to our own capability in our quest for the pursuit of happiness. If you're going through tough times, this might really be a very hard movie to watch.

The depiction of the poverty level in America is shockingly shocking. I keep telling folks, if you've got no sellable skills or you ain't traveling out to further your education & possibly get a job over there, better stay put. I'd rather manage the little i have here & be comfortable, than travel out & live on the streets of America & beg for handouts.
