I just want to add little questions/clarifications as you are making it sound as if everybody should/can live and work in Berlin and other cities are of little or no significance.
Everything looks high in Berlin; number of foreigners (Blacks or Nigerians inkl.) == many English speakers, number of jobs, number of companies (this generally leads to flexible entry barrier in some cases) but so is the competition for jobs as well as unemployment rate.

1. Berlin is not the hot-hub center for all industries, at least I can say that for the Automobile and Logistics and maybe the FMCGs too.
2. The narrative that nobody cares about your course, na your skill matter is not a fact and at best a narrative in that it work for some but not for all. If you don't have any work experience before entering DE which means you don't have any work experience that you can leverage, the first thing and the easiest you can leverage is your course of study through which you should have built the necessary skills via Practicals/Internships/Working Student/ Research Assistants which you can of course you get through or because of your course of study.
3. As a student, there is no restriction on work permit as regards where you can work, which means wherever you are studying, you can still seek and go for to any city to work just that it might require you relocating and maybe cancelling a semester.
4. The lack of Deutsch proficiency will most likely reduce number of opportunities accessible for anyone in DE, its significance and urgency is just different base on location or industry.
5. Even when it comes to IT, most of the biggest firms still have the larger percentage of their IT work force outside of the "Berlins" where we have many startups with fierce competition for everything even though their barrier of entry is flexible.

I will say Berlin is arguably the best when it comes to student `hustling` jobs though (been there, done that), due to aforementioned configuration which might have little or nothing to do with your professional life afterwards.

I have few friends who studied in Berlin and moved out afterwards as much as I have those that moved there after their study, there are no absolutes on issues like this, the main thing is that we should help one another to make informed and better decisions.
my two cents.

Nice. Sounds like you're right here in Deutschland...from your comment, I see you largely agree with my point but u just dey use plenty english. I'm surprised you dont know Berlin is the startup capital of the world of which over 80% is in the IT ecosystem. I earlier mentioned other cities like Hamburg and Munich. But if you cannot speak Deutsch, better carry yourself come Berlin especially if you're an IT professional.

Hi All, please, advise on this

The following documents were either not submitted, or were not sufficiently certified: Confirmation of the grading system applied by your school or university. We need information on the highest possible mark and the lowest pass mark required for a bachelor's degree to be awarded by your university.

And for the flared tempers...

I had followed this thread it thinking it was for German studies applicants. Having seen a lot of threads like that (https://www.nairaland.com/899086/study-germany) closed, I thought this may be on that trajectory too, especially when rs172 said "Una no dey hear word, your question won't be answered to, there is a german student thread here, post your question there..". Apparently I have been mistaken in both assumptions -group purpose and interpretation of that reply.

...My apologies... make una no vex

For JJCs like me wey go stumble land here tomorrow, it will leave us all better off if someone can just point them to the right thread, or occasionally remind them what purpose this group serves. Sometimes, strength and intelligence are shown better in little -and repeatedly done- acts of kindness... life is only a small place.

For people wey still dey apply go Germany... you can check this thread -https://www.nairaland.com/5621308/part-8/121- and ask your school application/visa questions there.

Best to everyone!

Hello house please help me with a honest review between these two choices with respect to career prospect in Germany.

(A)Cologne University of Applied Sciences.....Msc Communication Systems and Networks (with emphasis on a career as a Network Engineer).

(B) FAU Erlangen.....Msc Computational Engineering (with emphasis on a career in digital signal processing, machine/deep learning and computer vision).

My bachelor is in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Hi Goztino,

How are you faring with learning this course? Has it been all that it promised? Are your expectations getting met? Will you advise that i consider it too?

Hallo, sorry I was so busy.
Yeah, I have completed most of the basic python course. Three of the courses I currently do now are done with python. And this is just for this summer semester alone (I don't know about next semester).
Generally, studying in Germany is very demanding especially if you are in Science or Engineering field (I believe it should be like that too in other departments).
If your aim is coming to Germany to study, please come prepared and you must be ready to LEARN new things including the German language.
It's a country that doesn't settle for less.
They are very strict and you must be ready to play by the rules otherwise you always be a victim of circumstance.

Hi All,

Please, I received this message from UNi-Assist today, and I am wondering if anyone has had a similar setback and how they tackled it.

The following documents were either not submitted, or were not sufficiently certified: Confirmation of the grading system applied by your school or university
Unfortunately, we cannot convert your average grade into the German system due to the lack of the grading system applied by your university for your degree programme. We need information on the highest possible mark and the lowest pass mark required for a bachelor's degree to be awarded by your university. The lowest pass mark for individual subjects is not relevant for the conversion of your grade.

I submitted my BSc Transcript from UNN, and that had my cumulative CGPA in it.... I don't know what else they want....

Please, help your bro...
pls how much does it cost to submit transcript from school
