COVID-19: Manager of demolished Rivers hotel tests positive among 27 new cases

Governor has confirmed 27 new cases of Coronavirus with Manager of demolished Prodest Hotel, Eleme, listed among the latest cases.

Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim who made the disclosure Sunday evening said the development validates the State Government’s proactive fight against COVID-19.

Nsirim recalled that “Prodest Hotel was demolished two weeks ago because the owners violated Executive Order 7 which banned the operation of hotels.

“The COVID-19 Taskforce members from the Local Government who went to enforce the Executive Order were brutalized and dehumanised leading to the death of one of them.”

bad....weak coverup settings from the state govt to justify his unimaginable actions...some of the covid cases are scam and it takes some amout of money changing hands and the owner gladfully accept d sweet cash n mayb giving a better site to stand a new hotel just to say he is positive, las las after 2 weeks he would test negative again n life continues and the wike's demolition of hotels would be justified....big shout out to our naija politicians even if they dnt know d best way to play us lyk video game..
