U can open the cscs account online. If it wasn't compulsory it wouldn't have been a requirement especially if u want your your allocation to be successful

I just contacted a staff of Afrinvest and he said I have to open an account with Afrinvest first, then a cscs account. He also sent me the SUKUK form through WhatsApp and the Afrinvest form. He said the cscs no will take 48 hrs to be ready. Must I submit the SUKUK form to him. I mean how do they benefit from this. Are there questions I should ask them. Thanks pls

Their benefit is that someday, you will do business with them. As an investor, your appetite changes from time to time and when u do need to buy stocks or deal on the secondary market, they already have you and you already have them. So they earn commission.

Thanks for your kindness. So I guess they're getting a commission from my SUKUK BOND investment?

You don't need to subscribe for the sukuk through them. You only need the cscs from them. The process has been simplified. You may need to go back on this thread to read up.

Hello chief emmesoft, if I open my cscs with investment one can I still proceed to apply for the sukuk bond through stanbic bank?

CSCS means Central securities clearing system. It's d depository body that houses all investors shares electronically. They issue cscs account and CHN through capital market operators licensed to trade on the NSE. You can pass through any of the licensed operators to get it of which IBTC and Investment One are examples of operators. However, the process of opening cscs differ from operator to operator especially in the aspect of initial cash deposit

Same experience with stanbic, a lady even called me on phone telling me the minimum is 50m which i knew is FGN Bond not the current SUKUK. I have to download the SUKUK advert and sent to her mail for her to be aware. I am just waiting for my CSCS to be open before i visit.

Don't fret and do not let any bank frustrate your plan to invest in the Sukuk bond. The bond prospectus states #10,000 minimum and in multiples of #1000 thereafter.
Follow these steps:
1. Google FCSL Aset Mgt.Coy Ltd
2. Pay amt. You wish to invest into FCSL Asset Mgt. Co. Ltd. a/c with Zenith Bank. Acct. No.-1011713073
3. There are names and phone numbers of some officials on their website, call any of the numbers and inform him you paid for Sukuk investment into their account.
4. Upload a scan copy of your filled form to them.
5. Shikena.
Why did I even give out all these information self? The bond will be oversubscribed and I may end up not getting as you might have taken my slot. (Laughs).

You don't need to have an account with any of those banks. You only need to transfer money from your bank account to those banks.

As for the cscs, you need to open one as quick as possible. Try Morgan capital or Afrinvest. You have little time left

Good day sir.

I just got the form for Sukuk bond and on the top right is asked APPLICANTS S4/ CUSTODIAN A/C NO. Is it the same as CHN number?

I visited the VGIF page on investment one website. I couldn't find the 8.5% guaranty. Am I missing something?
