Markets are open, the streets and bus terminals are crowded but schools cannot open?
That tells you what our priorities are as a nation.

If they like, schools should reopen in 2022

Nonsense and covik-1-9

Mr minister of state is in no position to say when schools will reopen it not.

Buhari can come on monday now and declare June 8. The big guys who call the shots are bent on things returning back to normal.

Airport reopening means interstate travel ban would be cancelled which would result in religious gatherings and schools reopening.

By the way, where is education minister, Adamu Adamu??

We've not heard from him since that jugular ASUU chairman gave him.

Methinks it's insane to do so now. Why the rush? Covid-19 is real. Can these pupils take the necessary precautionary measures?

From what I'm seeing, this period is more like 3rd term holidays.. Schools will likely resume late July and close by second week of September.. First term will resume after a week holiday (Late September).. WAEC likely to hold on September or October..

It's a tough call to reopen schools just now. Children being who they are cannot do social distancing or observe all those sanitary calls by themselves. So it's gonna be hard for them, not forgetting they are the most vulnerable in all these.
