I simply sent my form without filling the cscs part and payment receipts to stanbicstockboker and copied lotuscapital, fbnquest and debt mgt. Let's see how it goes. Though, I'm still expecting my cscs from investment-one. This sukuk wahala no be do or die thing. Las las we go dey okay as far this thread is still alive.

She was reminiscing years back when land and market allocations in Abuja were very cheap, some where even offered for free.

I asked her why did she and her husband no invest. She told me they thought Nigeria was going to disintegrate. I shook my head.

She would have retired gently now. Now at over 60 years she has left Abuja and is hustling in Lagos.

Honestly sir, this your comment is very deep and strikes a very sensitive cord in me. I admit that my earlier comment about disintegration is ill-informed, as a matter of fact, there is barely any excuse not to invest.

I will share my personal experience.

When i began working, i reached out to Adron Homes about one of their land packages in Shimawa. We agreed for a half-plot in one of their estates at circa 900k. Payment plan was spread across 4 years and was quite convenient for me at the time. We even went to inspect the place and i was supposed to begin payments the following month.

The following month, Army invited me for screening, and it became an excuse for me to terminate the land payment plan, thinking i would be unable to make the payments from training if i was successful. The Army thing didnt even work out so i focused on travelling out - another excuse. The Adron marketer got tired of contacting me and that was how the plan died.

August this year will make it exactly 4 years, and we still dey Naja. I would have completed the payment if i went with the plan then. Someone made mention of a plot of land in Shimawa selling for 6m per plot. When i saw the post, i began to have one kind headache.

Investments mean different things for different people, but they all have a similar undertone - long term. And there is no excuse for not starting because the long term will eventually come some day.
