President Donald Trump’s spate with Twitter is not coming to an end soon as the social media giant has attached a warning label to his Friday tweet, indicating it’s glorifying violence.

The president was reacting to riots in Minneapolis following Monday’s killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd when a police officer, Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck until he died.

The president tweeted: “I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right.”

He continued: “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”

A Twitter warning label to the second tweet, which was a follow-up to the first, said it violated its rules about “glorifying violence”.

While the tweet was not deleted, it was hidden from view and potential viewers had to click on a “view” button placed by the warning label to access it.

This comes a day after Trump signed an Executive Order cutting liability protection from social media companies.

The president signed the executive order on Thursday, few days after a row with Twitter, which had labelled two of his tweets with warning tags encouraging users to fact-check them.

According to Trump, the checks were “editorial decisions” by Twitter amounting to political activism.

He added that such actions should cost social media companies their liability protection guaranteed under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act because they are treated as “platforms,” rather than “publishers,” which can face lawsuits over content.

Ofcourse the looters are criminals who are Destroying businesses under the guise of protesting...What's their business with Malls ? Was it a mall that killed George Floyd?

Once the National guard all called out they will use whatever force necessary to restore order
