You are very correct. That was one of my observations when I first stepped into Ui. However, Ui maintenance culture is second to none in the country

Important to note that the university of Ibadan; founded 1948 leads not only in age but also academically. The great citadel was the only Nigerian university rated as of the world's first 300 by Times Higher Education in 2020
