Jokerman:You may be wrong here. The number of children helping out their parents in markets or shops is nothing compared to all children resuming back in their various schools. Think about it...one question though. Are your children helping out in your shop or market stall? |

Mrmourinho:Which countries have reopened schools without first putting reasonable safety measures in place? I just need you to know that people are dying from contracting this virus (over 100k people reportedly dead in USA only from coronavirus in just about 3months). So, you should think twice and ask yourself if it is really worth risking the lives of students because of education. Moreover, because of our inability to carry out adequate testing in Nigeria, we don't really know for sure how serious the virus is in the country. This should be our priority first before thinking of opening up schools and easing the lockdown. Other countries are easing their lockdown only when they are certain that the spread of the virus has reduced considerably. in our own case, we are thinking of reopening schools when we don't even know how widely the virus is spreading, and this is hypocritical because we don't actually value education that much in this country. |

Mrmourinho:I didn't say we don't value education, I simply said we don't value education THAT MUCH (and you will realize this truth if u could think rationally and put sentiments aside). Compared to many countries of the world (whose schools are currently closed down), Nigeria clearly lags behind in terms of the value placed on education. |
