Adam's sin

Adam's sin was not external, not what he ate, it was internal, thoughts that produced words, words that rejected the Gospel. Titus 1:2.

Remember that Moses wasn't born when Adam was existing. So he received the event by visions, because of His state he couldn't properly express what happened then he used figures of speech like trees, tree of life, to represent the Gospel of Christ and The tree is Good and evil to represent sin.

So Adam eating the tree of good and evil means adam rejected the Gospel, the tree of life which is Christ. Hence Adam's sin was UNBELIEF, Adam was separated from God, this separation is called sin.( unbelief) this sin, unbelief is also known as death.

So the mother which is sin/unbelief made man to begin to kill, steal, fornicate, commit adulterers, because in man there's no good in the man outside Christ no matter how moral he is.

So this bad actions are called deeds, acts or sins not sin but sins with an 's'

So remember that the reward Adam got when he rejected the Gospel was separation, which is sin which is death.

So it means when Jesus died he took away the reward of unbelief which is that separation, death, sin without 's'

In other words Jesus died for you sin, separation which is death to reunite us with God forever but He didn't die to make you stop lying, stealing sins with an 's' which is actions, but as you grow in the knowledge of Christ you are empowered.

So Jesus came and took away that separation by reconciling us in His death ,burial and Resurrection

But because we are still mortal in this fragile body, waiting till the full revelation of our glorious body the putting away of this mortality to wear immortality a completely perfect body where there's no sin as in actions again, there is the tendency for man to make mistakes in this mortal body.

So the man who receives Jesus's sacrifice is saved from Sin which is unbelief which is death which is separation.

But however because he is still mortal, he will do sins the sin with an 's' meaning actions, he might lie, steal, fornicate, beat someone, but as he grows spiritually he will gradually put all that away.

Whether completely or not before we remove mortality he might make mistakes but he is different from the man who is still in Sin/unbelief.

The man in unbelief/sin will still commit sins too but if he rejects Christ he will go to hell

But the man who receives Christ is saved from sin/unbelief/death but will still do sins actions but he will never go to hell.

So sins can never take a man to hell only unbelief can take a man to hell.

It is first the nature before the conduct.

Matthew 5:10 Jesus asked all the people to come together near him. ‘Listen to me’, he said, ‘so that you can understand my words.

11 God will not say to a person, “I will not accept you because you ate a certain food.” It is not the food that a person eats. Food does not cause God to say, “I cannot accept you.” Instead, what comes out of his mouth is important. This can cause God to say, “I will not accept you.” ’

12 Jesus’ *disciples went near to him and they said, ‘The *Pharisees heard what you said to them. They are not happy with what you said. Do you know that?’

13 Jesus replied to his *disciples, ‘Those *Pharisees are like plants that God, my Father in *heaven, did not put in the *soil. He will pull all these plants out of the *soil.

14 Do not be *anxious about them. They cannot see, but they are telling people which way to go. A man who cannot see does not show another man like himself where to go. If he does this, then both men will fall into a deep hole in the road.’

15 Peter said to Jesus, ‘Explain to us what you just said.’

16 ‘You still cannot understand what I am saying. You are like the *Pharisees and the teachers of the *Law’, replied Jesus.

17 ‘The food that a person eats first goes into his mouth. Then it goes into his stomach, and then it goes out of his body.

18 The words that a person speaks come from their thoughts. So what a person says can cause God to say to him, “I will not accept you.”

19 A person can think bad thoughts. These thoughts may cause him to kill somebody. Or they may cause him to have sex with another man’s wife. He might rob somebody. He might say things that are not true about someone. Or he might say bad things about somebody.’ note

20 ‘All these bad things cause God to say to a person, “I cannot accept you.” But perhaps a man does not wash his hands before he eats. This does not cause God to say, “I will not accept you.” ’

Full gist!

Matthew 23:33
"You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Luke 11:40
You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?

Matthew 16:23
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

What type of perfect role model is this to follow? He went around insulting people while he preached, while at the same time he told his followers to show love to their enemies? He even went so far as calling one of his disciples "Satan"!! Why couldn't Jesus be more patient and hold his tongue?

Jesus even got a bit physical at times...

John 2:15
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"

What authority did Jesus have to do such a thing? This story seems to teach us that vigilantism is okay at times.
If u care to understand, notice "fools" as seems to be mentioned by Jesus often refers to religious leaders? Jesus never spoke English... this is translational ambiguity. He, in Aramaic (language of first version of bible)was actually referring to over comptemted people - then religious leaders.

"You that say "you fool" " means "you that is contempt..." asper knowledge. (To me, it's a smart way of drawing their attention)

See footnote of NIV bible. That part of the verse is labelled (c) and explained at the footnote.

Jesus as a man worked very hard. His accomplishments as a man is second to non- He synthesized knowledge. His "follwership" was and still is amazing... even till today, ppl still die 4 him. People give in everything for him! If not 4 anything respect him for that.

You can criticize anyone... even God, but try and study your object of criticism well before you criticize. Otherwise I will be tempted to call you a fool.

I believe he's not as gentle as portrayed by Christian's. He has Aims, (global aims, brother!) and had just 3 years to accomplish that... and he did just perfectly fine! Check out Christianity today... ? They are doing just fine... even with our neighbours guns and bomb!!

So if u have a "global aim" and have little time, will you be over gentle?

I know he won't, he's very happy seeing people attach Jesus and Christianity

I have a word for you Mr nairaland

Why do you hate Jesus? I just want you to know nothing last forever since you think you're most powerful man on Earth to openly have a forum that give power to people to abuse Christ and Christianity very soon it will end in shame.

The church of Christ will match on and the gate of hell "nairaland" can't prevail. The end of this forum will come swiftly and there will be no remembrance of it.

As for you athiest and islamist your days are numbered death will swallow you most of you up before year 2020 ends unless you repent. All those on this thread that insult Christianity you'll meet your end. May your names be counted as victims of Corona virus.

If I be a man of God!
I can assure you that all the above comments are not from Muslims, you will never see a muslim bad mouth other peoples religion unlike your Christian brothers even with the censor your fellow Christians still accept the oath in other to abuse Muslims and also badmouth Islam calling Muslims unprintable names.

Let's note that we have the sin of COMMISSION (what God asked you to do and you do not do e.g pray without ceasing, which means prayerlessness is sin)then sin of OMISSION (what God asked you not to do and you do it, thou shall not covet, which means covetousness is sin)...
With this, we know what sin means!

SIN IS SIN!

May God have mercy on us!

Sin is when you kill your son just to save the world and still send people to hell...

Sin is when you create evil you're shocked about it....

Sin is following the Religion of those who raped and killed and raped your ancestors.[/quote]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The devil was not originally created as agent of evil and darkness, but as angel of light. It was rebellion against the authority and supremacy of God that made God to hurl satan into the world and made satan the way he is today. The first man created by God was given authority to rule and dominate God's creation but alas, the first man was deceived and lost that authority and dominion to satan. God decided to send his one and only son, in likeness of man to come to the earth and restore the authority and dominion stolen from man, justice requires that, the soul that sins must die. Instead of that, God in his infinite mercy gave his son, Jesus Christ up to take the place of man. Jesus Christ laid down his life,. even the Muslims believed that, No one can kill Jesus, He was not killed but laid down his life for you, I and the whole world so that the world can be justified and be restored back to God. I present Jesus Christ to you, Kindly and humbly, totally surrender your life to him, so that you become partaker of eternal life not only from here on earth but also in the life after. Look at the creation, the universe, the present state of things in the world today, God is still speaking. It is rather unfortunate that, majority of the people including the Christians are busy pursuing the worldly things at the expense of their soul. God is control of his creation and in due time, he will act appropriately.
